  1. Isn’t offer-sheeting really frowned upon though? I think MB gets by by having great relationships with other GMs, it be odd to see him do that. It be be funny to me because Carolina was a big reason we missed some playoff hockey last year, be funny to see the Habs stick it to them lol.
  2. I think he might be really intrigued about getting the opportunity to play with a real number one D in Weber. A guy that can carry the defensive load and the pairing and let Gardiner just do his thing, he has never had that opportunity in his time with the Leafs.
  3. 8 Mill is a good deal for the Preds, we all kinda saw that coming once Subban was traded. I think our current group of centres will be just fine and Lee and Gardiner fill more holes on the roster than just Duchene.
  4. An offer sheet would be unreal. I honestly don’t like the idea of giving up first round picks though.
  5. It’s crazy to think at the beginning of last year Reilly was looking like at top 4 steal and then his game fell of a cliff. He’s still young maybe there is something to be salvaged.
  6. I personally don’t think Nashville is better with Duchene over Subban, I understand that they are strong on defense but I don’t think Duchene puts them over the top. I understand Nashville is suffering with some failed centre acquisitions in Turris and to a lesser extent Bonino and Johanson isn’t producing like they want him too but what do they do now, put Turris on the 3rd line? That’s an expensive group of centres.
  7. Oh I agree with that. I was just stating Nashville thinks more highly of Duchene than Subban right now. I think the cap reason is probably one of the biggest reasons but I don’t think it was the sole reason.
  8. Looks like Nashville will be signing Duchene with this move. I guess they value him more than Subban.
  9. Thanks, Karlsson’s injury problems should be cause for a little concern, he’s also a RD and we don’t know if he would be open to playing his off side should he want to sign. Duchene plays both centre and wing and is good on face-offs. It'll be interesting to see what happens this off season.
  10. I’m all for bringing in Karlsson and trying to figure it out afterwards but You have to get Domi done this or next year and he will be commanding between 6-8 mill. The Habs will have some cap work to do. What if Duchene and Karlsson both want to sign with Montreal, how do you make that work? Or do you say no to Duchene?
  11. I’m legitimately very excited about Suzuki. He has taken it to another level.
  12. Suzuki certainly is impressive. Looking forward to him getting a look at the big club this year.
  13. New Jersey with two first overall picks in three years. The two years they miss the playoffs they win the lottery both times. That’s a little messed up.
  14. That game capitulates the season we had, really exciting up and down back and forth. I really enjoyed watching this team play this year. Hell of a game from Poehling, kid looks ready!
  15. Very true, I was happy to watch some really exciting hockey this year. Shame they couldn’t get it done but that’s how it goes sometimes.
  16. They did that exact thing to Islanders on Thursday. Give the boys some slack, they have been playing hard. It was a back to back where they had to travel and Carolina is one of the hottest teams in the league. Also Julien had to shorten his bench in the third because he doesn’t trust Drouin or Kotkaniemi. Not saying I agree or disagree with that either but it happened.
  17. Price was amazing and deserved a better fate. Interesting that Drouin and Kotkaniemi were benched during OT and most of the end of the third. Drouin had another really bad turnover that resulted in the Canes best scoring chance but other then that I though he was actively trying out there. It seems like he really is in his head and needs to start going off instinct. The thing is though his rope is pretty much spent and one has to wonder what his future will look like if this continues.
  18. Shaw’s fine. Julien said they took precautions because of his history and wanted him to cool down a little.
  19. I hear Poehling took a pretty bad slid into the boards head first. Never returned, hopefully it’s nothing serious.
  20. One positive thing is that should the Habs make the playoffs that will mean that they will be riding a hot streak. Another thing is president trophy winning teams very rarely win the cup so who the hell knows lol. Price has been playing exceptionally lately and over the past two games Weber has goals in both and is starting to look better. Good things.
  21. What’s your thoughts on Evans projection next year? Think he might crack the big club?
  22. I am really excited to watch Josh Brooks progression next year!
