  1. imagine what u'd be sayin about subban considering he's twice the player
  2. clearly that's not what i meant. i meant you draft a top line player and he should play for your team when a position opened. example duschene, kane toews, gagner, statsny etc if montreal has cammallerri, gionta, gomez plex, andrei k and pouliot then clearly there was no room for pacioretty or sergei .. meaning they should be sent down OR we should of created a third scoring line and made our 4th line the energy/ checking line subban was good enough to make the nhl this year but gainey had already gone out and filled the D-line up with what"he" thought was quality vets to "shore" up the D this year in order for "our goalies" to take a step FORWARD montreal made the mistake this year by signing all thes high priced depth defencemen habs best d lineup!!! markov-gorges hammer- subban gill- spacek
  3. A primary example of how 1 good young dman can help transform your team. buffalo is virtually the same team as lasts years bottom feeder with the addition of myers playing 20 a night.
  4. ya they called up weber who is pretty much the same age just not nearly as ready for the NHL as PK Subban is right now... is that the right move. weber is being called up right now on seniority basis. not all of us agree to leave him down cause i dont. some times placing a good kid in a bubble isnt good either. he is definitly 1 step more developed then all bulldogs right now! by the way the habs biggest problem with developing youngsters is there inability to use them properly. example 1: scring winger latendresse/ pacioretty/sergei kostitsyn used primarily on a 3/4th line less then 10 min a night. 3 examples of why you send these kids down if there is no room on your top lines... what is he gonna learn coasting around on the ahl ice toying with players as he seems to be doing right now.... del zotto, hedman, staal, schenn, doughty, myers just to name a few of the dozen Dmen who NHL teams are not afraid to give ample minutes to...
  5. sk definitly needs to say. he needs to find form in the nhl right now. i dont think he was lacking effort last night. after his initial recall he was starting to gel before rolling his ankle. he'll be fine. his next demotion will be straight to the KHL trotter for what its worth would be interesting to say the least on the 2nd line and white for the fourth is OK with me
  6. tsn was also quick to point out that on most nhl teams defenders and goalies always fight about something at some point... they are together for like 8 months of the year. they also noted that ina place like nashville something like this doesnt even get reported but in "media crazy montreal" every story because an embroiled controversy. i hardly think andrei "the quiet giant " markov called out price on heart after a game he tried fighting st louis goon jannsen. it was more likely a bickering match after a loss! amen
  7. 9 G 22A 31PTS +25 2nd overall in plus/minus 3rd overall in points amongst defencemen (5 from the lead). #1 ranked defensemen in only his rookie season An allstar with that said, he leads all dogs in TOI. he plays the PP and the PK. the bulldoggs are sitting in first in the west and 2nd overall. Is he not ready for at least a 10 game tryout to see where he stands against NHL opponents considering our habs defence could use some help/ boost??? after watching 13 games this year live. i believe he can play in the NHL and would go as far as saying he would be a top 3/4 defenceman on this years addition of the habs (battle gorges) #1 markov #2 hammer #3 subban or gorges i know the first answer would be to not risk him but would we considering how dominent he's been thus far?? 10 games could only help his development i think and he's a right handed shot
  8. dude I AM the source... the dogs best forward is trotter is on fire this month. he's sitting in the top 5 in scoring in the AHL. he doesnt have a spot on the top 2 lines which is probably why they called up darche instead who has settled into third line duty with the return of SK !!! maxwell confuses me though over white because white plays an infleuentual role in every bulldog game where maxwll has bit hot and cold!!!
  9. we are in desperate need of andrei K, a fourth line, and serge savard and larry robinson!!
  10. paula mara= -16 nagging injuries hall gill= -6 healthy bergeron an allstar on the pp?? so he's now a top 12 pp d man... HHHHHHaaaaaaa let's just agree to disagree guys.... i think mara and bergeron have to go and subban can take a stab at the nhl with the big boys cause he's not getting pushed hard enough in the A & all it will do is give him a measuring stick to were he has to be. you never now... the "black paul coffey" may just be born
  11. boucher is 1 year taken out of juniors. he will NOT be coaching the habs next year thats a fact
  12. "subban on injury stand by" meaning if we ship out mara for a pint of beer and after that we lose 2 more defenders to injury then we call him up considering carle is out for the year (shoulder again) and subban is the best defender in the AHL right now..... did youknow he's going on +30. i've been to 13 dog games and he's been out of this world in each. he doesnt belong in the AHL. he will be a habs 100% next year no questions asked. "lazy lack leadership" this isnt the habs of last year. they may not be the most talented bunch of guys but there definitly not the same team with deep issues in the dressing room anymore either all of gomez, gionta, plex, camm, moen, gill, hammer, markov, gorges, metro, spacek are hardly the bad apples your portraying them to be. like i said subban would be a welcome addition for a 10 game stint at some point this year. our defence needs some answers and why not look within. if hedman, stall, pheneuf, doughty, myers, and so one can come in straight from juniors why cant subban considering he was an ace for canada's juniors and is dominant in the AHL right now. would you rather the habs call up weber? that's like comparing markov to gorges! as polar as they've been this year it's really not that bad. were half way done and were still right there know? ok this florida trip has been disasterous but 1 nice streak and were in 5th and starring down 4th. only problem is my dogs are sitting pretty in the conference right now thanks in part mostly to him, carle and the BIG D in net! another point is the habs bringing up darche and maxwell when there 2 top forwards over the last 15-20 have been white and trotter!!!
  13. i keep gill as the 6th defencemen cause i still need 6 defencemen!! its gill or MAB there and frankly gill is the better D-man that's why.. no free pass he's just better @ D
  14. MY PERSPECTIVE....... FORWARDS with the upcoming return of AK46 to the 2nd line. i think are top 2 lines are both legit threats with the emergence of benoit pouliot. the third line is dependent on maxim lapierre who many thought including me would take another step forward from his good season a year ago. to the contrary he has regressed. hopefully a healthy 2-way SK can find the form from his rookie season and a re- energized d"agostini can kickstart the third line (laps) into one of a fast, gritty line with a little offensive flair that can help negate a top line and possibly chip in a goal every 2nd game. metropolit has preformed admirablly considering the many roles he's had to play. he and moen on the fourth should excel. however, the opposite side continues to be the question? after laraque clearly showed he was there to look pretty rather then nasty... and continueous rotations between countless players.. we have failed to fill that position. one must think if kostopolius was around how would an energy line like that look like. nevertheless MAB has continued to fill that role since the return to health of our def. darche has played well in his limited action . however, white has provided the best result from the farm thus far DEFENCE markov, markov, markov the habs transform when he is in our lineup. and since his return the habs PP has gone from #19 to #1 andjosh gorges has found balance that has allowed him to step up his game to the next level (the same way komisarek did) hamirlik who filled in for markov as the #1 did a good job. now that he has found a place as the #3 with fellow czech spacek hopefully down the stretch they can form a legit shut down pairing. the question marks on the third pairing continue to be who plays. gill is great on the PK but weak on even strength. MAB is great on the PP point but horrible in our zone. mara who i think is the worst signing of the year (not spacek) had a few good games but continues to battle nagging injuries and looks to find form. obyrne started the season strong but after an ankle break cant seem to hit stride. after an abysmal try on the wing. he is back to the bottom pairing where he belongs. my take is ... dump mara and put MAB in the press as the 7th defencemen. look to subban who is ready for the NHL on injury stand by. there is alot ifs and buts.... hopes that everybody stays healthy and all players can reach there potentials this season. HEALTH continues to be our achilles but once healthy down the stretch i believe all our pieces might finally fall into place just in time for a run. keep in mind the deadline is fast approaching and gainey might just tweak this lineup a bit. wishful thinking??? maybe but definitly not far fetched! trolling? i think not!
  15. name me one team that has won a cup in recent memory without a malkin or crosby that didnt have a gritty good 4th line. it's one of the keys to success postseason. we havent had a fourth line because moen and metro have had to play 3rd line most of the season cause lap's has sh*t the bed so far this year and we cant stay bloody healthy. trolling???
  16. ott would be fantastic. i'd prefer a guy like neil with moen but that's wishful thinking. giving up halak would be to much though
  17. that's exactly what im talking about. what the fourth line should bring to the table isn't or will not happen with MAB there. if u scroll up you'll see i penciled in white on one side and moen on the other for that 4th line. it's what's needed. obviouslly injuries are a factor. and our PP was sitting at 19th b4 marky's first game back. it propelled to 1st during that 7 game road trip when we went 6-1 and something like 14 of 18 on the pp.
  18. a little harsh on spacek are we considering he is a +7. is a plus player every year and is a +36 in his last 4 seasons alone compare that to MAB's -20 in his last 4 seasons. not to mention he play like 15 minutes more a night!!!! spacek, hammer & gorges filled in for marky quite well logging in 20+ a night now marky's back and he can play his proper role on the 2nd pairing. i dont hate MAB i just dont like him on our 4th line. he's not a top 6 def so he should sit. we have to have another left handed point shot!
  19. i cant stand when we use defenders at forward! i hated that experiment with streit as well as dandy and i hate it with bergeron. he is a good point shot on the pp i understand that, moving forward though he cannot be a long term solution because he cant play 5 on 5 and will hurt us come playoffs in an important role on the 4th line. WE all know how important hte 4th line is come playoffs. that is why he was unemployed to start the season, that is why he makes only 750 this season and if marky doesnt go down he most likely is still unemployed. he is a defender who cant defend!! did u see him floating around on that 4th line barely mixing it up last night? sure he swung the puck around on the pp... yeah!
  20. and by the way the season started oct 6 & the habs played all of 6 games b4 bergeron played his first game vs atl oct 20! boy that was some chance spacek had to make the pp work! considering he wasnt even given a full chance there during those 6 games as we tried hammer, gorges, spacek and gomez there in those 6 games. bergeron came in vs atl got 0 points then 2 g 1 a in his next 2 and weve never looked back. i'm not saying bergeron is bad on the PP. he plays well there ONLY. but he sucks everywhere else! that 2 me DOES NOT MERIT a roster spot. heading into a 7 game series i dont think we can afford to not role our 4th line regularly. therefore, we should look to alternatives at the point as we await AK's return and bergeron must go in the pressbox. im saying spacek has played the point on buff and edmonton (great postseason)he's been a + player for 7 straight seasons.... gainey brought him in to replace schneider and he just hasnt been given that chance
  21. g-g-p ak-p-c- sk-l-d moen-metro-white -a line that checks, hits, and can change the tempo in our favour.. -pacioretty can come in to but is better off playing first line minutes in hamilton -they sent d'agostini down and he's still way better then MAB at 4th line duties -BGL is in the same category as MAB when playing forward they both stink. the only reason BGL is fired is because he wont fight where as MAB is still on the point. obviously with AK out of the lineup & d'ago/ pac sent down were handcuffed but come his return who comes out of the lineup? darche? would that be fair considering he's played excellent on each line he's played on. MAB is NOT a long term roster player on the habs simple as that!! there's no way he's excepting 750 again you really think MAB is better then Dago & pac??
  22. FIRST) MAB was signed 2 weeks into the season when our PP was in dissarray after the loss to relying on markov so much. spacek has shown in multiple seasons that he can preform on PP and can flourish with his left handed shot and marky on the right. spacek gets zero minutes with markov on the right point so can u compare? he has not had his chance with marky as he was first signed to do. second) MAB is on the fourth line because he cant play d.... you clearly watch zero habs games if you think he brings more to the table on the fourth line then any one else.
  23. our hasnt been given an oppurtunity to do. as MAB has been almost exclusive on the right point.
