So galley said give them the puck to get your 6 on 4. If the goalie leaves, can a player come out and make it 7 on 5? Pretty crowded, but you get one free touch where they can't score on the empty net. Teams are much more likely to try for the empty net from their zone when killing penalties because there's no icing. -

The boys let this one slip away. Caps earned the win. Breakaway practice tomorrow? -

I replayed it. Anyways. I could see the rear ref thinking it. His knee was definitely out but he was stationary with wide stance prior to contact. -

Not a chance. His feet were planted. He was stationary. No penalty. -

What did I miss? It looked like incidental contact to me. -

2.5 to 3 million over 4 years with a rising cap is different than 6x6.5 with a cap freeze. It won't be a gallagher even if he is slightly overpaid. -
2.5 (maybe 2.75 because of tax disadvantage) for 4 years seems like a good contract for all sides. I'm hopeful that he stays. Dvorak is as good as gone. The PK is one of the bright spots this year for this team. Everything was wrong with the team last year. This year, there is a great deal wrong, but the PK seems to be fixed. Evans and Armia are a massive part of that success. I really hope they can both sign reasonable contracts. I like Evans even when he isn't producing points. I can't see Beck or Kapanen stepping in and filling that slot seamlessly.

I thought a 2 game suspension was a bit over the top. Surely a scolding would have been sufficient.

Michael misa has been suspended by the chl for flipping a teady bear back into the crowd during the toss. Discuss.

No more trading with colorado. Too traumatic with Roy. Lehkonen for Barron. Newhook for picks usually reserved for elite trade deadline players. Colorado has a history of winning those trades. Lol. Nordiques getting their revenge 30 years later.

GDT Game #26 Nashville at Montreal 7pm Thursday Dec. 5

Every year, there is a list of prospects, that people project to be in the line up, and every year 90% of those projections are not accurate. Until they are succeeding in the league, these players are just prospects. You call them up as time goes on, see if they can perform, and likely send them back down or watch them flounder for years. It's based on performance, not projections. Evans is a known nhl value. Not a guess. Gotta sign him. If a prospect takes his job, that's a good problem to have. Trade him at that point. -
Not for a couple years probably. Evans has a few years of practice. 2.5 to 3 will be his cost. If he can fit in, financially, I would pay it. He's the best penalty killer on the team.

He never chooses the safe play, it feels like. Sometimes if there's nothing, there really is nothing. Live to fight another day. His defense frustrates me. -
He will not be that, fortunately. He would have to be making 11 or 12 million to match Gomez levels.

GDT Game #25 Islanders at Montreal 7pm Tuesday Dec. 3

Strange. They didn't produce much in the way of scoring chances, but they played in the o zone a lot, and we're cycling the puck well. They looked better than i expected. -
For sure. I didn't word my response correctly. That's what I was thinking. If he knew he was trading Harris, he may not have been so quick to trade kovacevic.

I'm pretty sure Hughes would like to take that one back at this point. Keep kovacevic and trade Harris
