I'm sorry, but I'm startingt to believe Milbury might be right. The Oompa Loompa line is awesome against young scared defense. Gionta is on the edge right now for me. So 5 or 6 players out of 20 are playing to expectation. I won't get to excited or bitter until the 3/4 mark of the season, but as it stands right now. Plus, why not get Halak playing more and get his value up, so a trade can be made near the deadline. We WILL be sellers this year.

Ahh, there is a good way of looking at it. I can almost guarentee that Halak will get the next start if he is healthy, so goaltending is a concern, we all know it is, but is it his biggest concern? I highly doubt it. Figuring out a way for the oompa loompas to get past a collapsing D, getting a true second line scoring line, and our pathetic D are probably more important at this time. That is why I question why every game thread with a loss has 2 pages about goaltenders. At this point, there is no sence pointing at one player. WE DON'T HAVE GOOD ENOUGH GOALIES TO STEAL EVERY GAME! Deal with it. It's really agravating to come on here and see one guy singled out all of the time, when the team plays like a mountain of moose shit!

I wish wamsley would come on here more. I mean Price looked good. Nitty looked great. Price DID get the pad over on the rebound before Malone shelfed it. Plek was standing there looking at him. No urgency at all. The rebound was super juicy on the Tanguay goal. Our other goalie lets out 10 times more rebounds than that. If I was going to say Price let in a soft one, it was due to that rebound. The third goal... He should have got his glove on it. Ya he would have if gorges hadn't knocked his hand away. I am really sick of goalies getting blamed for our defensive ineptitude. I shit my pants every time one of our D has the puck in our zone. Even when we have 4 back and one of their guys is in as a forechecker, because chances are they will giveaway the puck and the other team will have time to set up for a nice scoring chance.

Yikes! To be fair Nitimaki was very solid tonight. His puck tracking was fantastic. Gio could have had a hat trick tonight. Would they make him captain aready? To be fair, I have watched TSN games where Mcguire was drooling over Laps for the whole game. He did say he was hated, but also how well he played the top forwards and what an effective player he was. He doesn't typically get a hate on for a guy, and that is it. He tends to praise or punish in a fair manner. He should have realized that this wasn't much different than Lucic turtling last year though. And Lucic was praised for his discipline.
