  1. And I also hold the team accountable, but for too many years I have watched media and fans run with a rumour and blow it way out of proportion. I have seen no "Red bong picture, or coke straw picture. So...
  2. I thought that too, but it is probably more to do with the relationship between Bob and Kovy. I'm sure Carbo and Bob have spent some time discussing stuff like that. Still it does look like a decision the coach should be making.
  3. I saw a guy in the crowd in Vancouver with a sign that said something like "Hey Bob, Hit Me!" and an arrow to his shirt. On his shirt it said "Panic Button" This is Bob's panic button. For what ever reason Carbo doesn't sit Kovy. Bob is shaking things up. It's nice to see. Ya, that one blew me away too. You knew the team could do nothing. A prospect and a couple of picks would have been nice.
  4. Wow. I wonder if Anaheim Ducks players have to go through this? No wonder nobody wants to play for this team.
  5. Would you rather see Chipchura go up and down like a yoyo? The team needs a centre, and they need some sandpaper. I really liked what I saw from stewart when he was up. Way better than I expected. Between sending SK down and Kovy staying home for a game, that should be message enough to the rest. Perform or don't perform. It's up to you. But if you don't perform, you don't play.
  6. I know we expect a lot from our players, but I'm sorry. If I was 20 years old, rich and famous, I'm pretty sure I would want to go out too.
  7. I don't think the picks are a big deal. What kind of sucks is that signing Streit may have been cheaper. I think Schnieder will be better in his own zone than Streit though. All we can do is wait and see.
  8. I've lived in BC and Alberta all my life. It is amazing how many Habs fans there are here. It was hard to tell watching the flames game, because their sweaters are red, but it was crazy how many red sweaters were at the oilers game. Well in the thousands. I would say 25% of the crowd were Habs fans. The exact same same thing happens with the Leafs. Many people root for the home team. I enjoy watching the Oilers win, or make a run in the playoffs. By my focus and passion are with the Habs. It is cultural for me. I remember my dad and his brothers all gathering at out home to watch the habs. It was easy for me to cheer for them, because at 5 years old, my dad was the strongest and smartest man in the world. And he could kick a football further than your dad. This culture is alive in non francophones across Canada. And it is real.
  9. So, who's in nets Sunday? Do you play the hot hand, or give Price his game in his hometown? To be fair, it's not really his home town. Home is a tiny village in Chilcotin country west of Williams Lake. It's a tough decision, but I would play Halak. It's for the better of the team. The last time he made a decision for his personal life, Price may have hurt his team. I believe he rushed back to play in the allstar game.
  10. That's exactly what Lafleur used to do if he didn't have a shot. The difference is he had Lemaire or Shutt to pass to. That play won the 1979 stanley cup.
  11. I can pick up enough french to understand the basic thing that I am being asked, but my vocabulary is so poor that I need to answer in english. Could be something similar
  12. yeeeeehaw. Gotta be lucky to be good. Halak wins
  13. Florida and Buffalo both win. No pressure guys. Three way tie for 64 points.
