  1. I think Halak will get more starts if Price plays poorly. I don't think Price was as bad as a lot of us say though. In round 2 vs Flyers, Biron won, Price didn't lose. We couldn't score on him. Price wasn't unbelievable, and let in a few softies, but Biron's stellar tending was the difference, not Price's weaker one. Last season, he came back from his injury too early. Plain and simple. I think it was a mistake to not send him to Hamilton for conditioning. As for the second half, you saw the whole team crumble, so that is not really a fair assessment. Having said all this, to hell with official starter status. Play the better goalie at the time. If Halak is playing well and Price is not, you play Halak. That's it. I have seen times when this should have happened, and who knows, maybe it will pay off.
  2. I am very surprised. We will see him on the team this year. with more intensity I hope.
  3. lammy, your not going to tell us how long is left every minute are you?
  4. Puck support and speed has made Detroit a dangerous team for 15 years. I love the Martin quote. The stretch pass can work, but it's high risk. This team is way too small for dump and chase. Puck possession, support, and speed should suit the stature of this team nicely.
  5. good point. I got a new mancrush. it's gionta
  6. new team will isolate price? I agree. So far spacek and gionta impress me the most out of the noobs. I love how Gio is always in front of the net.
  7. no kidding. paccioretti looks good with them too
  8. really guys? He doesn't deserve a reply or a spot on the Habs threads?
  9. cube signs with nashville Good luck lil buddy. At $750,000 he's a great 6th D.
  10. I was laughing when Gill went to Pittsburgh, but watching him for two years, I found that he seems to have improved from his play in Toronto.
  11. Were you at the game? How did they look?
  12. 42- 26 -14 98 points Lots of one goal wins losses and OTLs
  13. I was going to mention this before, but I am very impressed with the effort a lot of you guys are putting into this website. I don't post all of the time, but I have been a fixture for 2 or 3 years. DBlair, Maca...all of you guys put serious time into things like understanding the waiver and contract status, interviews and so on. Good job to all the guys who put this effort in for zero profit. It makes the site much more enjoyable.
  14. They need to make internet ticket sales ilegal and levy a hefty fine for anyone caught doing it. Law enforcement goes after the wrong guys. Street scalpers take a risk and sometimes have problems getting rid of tickets. Internet scalpers do it for months before the game. I wish someone with authority would persue this. Ticketmaster and the actual team or venue, should be the only ones allowed to sell online. It is the online scalpers that are making it hard for you and I to get tickets.
  15. As far as I'm concerned, the money to the bankers and contract holders is the number one thing. If more creditors will get their money by the team staying in Glendale, then that's the way it should go, but from what I can see, the team will not succeed in Phoenix. So 3 or 4 more years of losing serious money...total bankruptcy to the next owner, and no money to the guys who built the arena, and half the money to the origional creditors. I don't believe a hockey team can survive in Phoenix.
