  1. OMG....what was that cutesy move Kovalev tried to pull in his own end? Whoever called tonight's game 'pond hockey' hit the nail on the head.
  2. He goes down way too early, and takes forever to get up and re-set. Not to mention the rebounds....
  3. GET THIS BUM OUT OF THE NET!!! WTF IS BOB THINKING LEAVING HIS SORRY ASS IN THERE?!?!?!
  4. I think Aebischer should get the hook if he lets another crappy goal in.
  5. The Leafs are up 2-1 on the Devils. I hope they somehow pull it off (geez, it feels soooo strange to be cheering for the Leafs), because a Habs win and a Devils loss allows us to tie them for 7th. Another PP coming up.... Yipes...Souray is brutal tonight.
  6. Now, if we can just keep the penalties to a minimum and tighten up a bit in our own end...
  7. That's because TSN is LeafsNation scum!!!! :puke:
  8. That was one of the highlights of this season!!!
  9. Ok....fellow Habs fans....let me start by saying I've got a pretty good buzz-on tonight. My brother and I enjoyed watching the Habs drive the final nail in the Leafs coffin whilst toasting the bleu blanc et rouge with many a beer. Afterwards, we went out to a local watering hole and mercilessly teased anyone wearing Leafs gear....you'd all be proud. The teasing took many forms: -my going up to one and shaking his hand, while saying "I'm impressed bud, it takes balls to wear that hat after your team put in such a gutless performance" -my standing behind Leafs fans and whistling the chorus from 'Vertigo' as loud as I possibly could until they got flustered -my inquiring if the Leafs fans knew when tee-off time was for Sundin and the boys It felt so damn goooooood!!!! GO HABS GO!!! GO HABS GO!!! Oh, and a special shoutout to my good friend J. Ferguson, who predicted Radek Bonk would have a big night tonight!
  10. Well...tonight, our 'best players' were our best players. That keeps up, we'll be just fine.
  11. Someone in the Leafs organization screwed up tonight: clearly they forgot to drop the envelope full of cash off in the Ref's dressing room. The calls are actually reasonable!
  12. What a shot...Kovy should try that at least once on every PP.
  13. YEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! (I hope they keep pressing...an old-fashioned blowout is just what this team needs.)
  14. I think a top line reunion is a good idea at this point....something has to change....certainly couldn't hurt to try.
  15. I played through back spasms during my senior year of football in HS. As a D-lineman, I could get away with it by moving from end to tackle: most of what I had to do was plug up the middle of the line on runs. But Markov, being a mobile defenseman, likely could not play effectively on muscle relaxers/painkillers. Twisting movements hurt the most, which defensemen must do often, and the mind-dulling effect of the painkillers would definitely lead to some very bad decisions. The good thing about back spasms is that they sometimes disappear quickly with treatment, and you can bet that the Habs have the very best in physiotherapy available to their players. Let's cross our fingers and say our prayers.
  16. AMEN! I can't believe we're locked into Koivu (we'll call him Papa Smurf, as he's the longest serving and the leader of the Smurfs) for another 3 years at top dollar. I just hope Bob has the sense to sign a quality free-agent center with some size in the offseason...it should be his top priority. Anytime I watch a Sharks game, I look at Thornton and fantasize that there could be some chain of events that would land him in a Habs jersey. I can only imagine how many goals Kovalev would rack up having a top-notch playmaker with size centering his line.
  17. We definitely need him to make the PP work.
  18. Anyone else notice that NHL.com lags behind many other sports news sites for scores? How is that possible? You'd think they'd have the most direct information pipeline... Shootout for Boston and Atlanta
  19. Koivu is hardly the only problem, but he's the most glaring problem. This is compounded by the fact that he is supposed to be the leader of the team, and great leaders lead by example.
