  1. Relax, let the youth play and improve. You still O'byrne, Gorges Emelin who are all RD i beleive.
  2. Gorges doesn't play on PP. Brisby has most of his points on the PP. So that's the point total. Gorges also hustles, hits and sticks up for his team mates. Brisby does none of those things. As BTH points out he also is 22. wins more battles then most including Markov, who hasn't been that good in his own end. Wow, i didn't know he only had a few PP points
  3. I do know for sure the Sharks are looking for an offensive Dman. The Gm said so on the pre game for last nights game. Carle and Bernier as trade bait
  4. Yes i'm sure there are changes, no way GC goes with that soft line up again. That was bad. I would assume Begin in as well unless he is sick or hurt.
  5. No way it's brisby. They are looking for a good D. Possibly Streit if he can be sigend. Markov, Hamrlik and Komi I beleive are untouchable.
  6. i'll catch up with you on that one Saks-Avenue. I'll give you all the credit if they win as well.
  7. Lats? how about Koivu higgins and ryder, brisbois and streit. they have been worse then lats. atleast he gets chances.
  8. Yep, this is an easy one. 5-1 Florida. I think the annual vacation the habs take is starting. I'll be the first one to eat crow if they prove me wrong.
  9. Well i'm definatley not the fundamentalist Christain.
  10. Lapierre is a much better fit with Begin, Kostopolous. That is an in your face line. Teams need that. The problem is people thinking higgins is a top line LW, he is not. I like his skills and he brings alot to the tanle but he is a perfect 3rd line LW. currently i would move the Kosty brothers with Koivu. Let Kovalev and Pleks carry another line.
  11. Not to mention Huet is very streaky and never has proven he can carry the load for 50+ games. Huet will want around 4 i am guessing. I would spend 4 mill else where.
  12. Yea, that team building thing everyone is talking about didn't do much last night. They were as gutless as ever.
  13. They haven't even locked up a playoff spot yet. They are as close to being out of the playoffs as they are to first place. We all know the history of the team taking 4-6 weeks off, it hasn't happened yet, but they way it looks it could be the beginning. So if trading some veteran garbage what you meant, i'm all for it. In reality, i only see Ryder and a fringe player moving, hopefully a goon and a pick comes back.
  14. I think 2 words sum up that game, Total domination. The Lightning just crushed the lifeless habs. They played a good 5 minutes then they stopped skating. @0 shots on goal for a team fighting for the playoffs is redicolous. They couldn't even get out of the zone in the third. The dear in headlights defense doesn't seem to work. Markov and Komi were really bad. No offense to speak of, but the most frustrating part is no effort again. This has been going on about 5 or 6 games. I agree with the other poster about slumps but you can control effort, effort should never go in a slump. I'll say it, maybe partying until 3am isn't the best idea when you have important games coming up. So my big question is what happens from here? DO they fold up the tent as they would the last 10 years and make the early tee time reservations. I have said for years leadership is an issue, lets see if Komi, Higgins Koivu can do something. Or does GC start calling out and benching players not bringing it. I'm for that. Another thought, obviously they miss Hamrlik, is that the difference? We'll see. They'll get blown out tonight, 5-1 Florida.
  15. Until they finish those chances, they are basically a 4th line.
  16. That 1 line took them to the cup. Unfortunately i see no evidence that the Koivu line will ever pick it again this year. I think it's safe to say all of them have underaciheved all year. Higgins numbers are respectable. I think more likely the secondary scoring will have to come from the other 2 lines.
  17. Anyone know if O'Byrne and Hamrlik are in tonight? That would certainly help the D situation.
  18. I don't think it's the night life or having fun people have a problem with. It's the going to jail part of that people have a problem with. It's also funny what it says about Kostopolous, resisting without violence. The last month that's how he sticks up for his team mates on the ice as well. he better watch out or SK and Gorges are taking his role.
  19. Whether it was a rookie dinner or not, stealing and resisting arrest is totally unacceptable. If they are in jail, i'm pretty sure they did what they are accused of. The paper didn't send them to jail. It's simply poor behavior and they need to suffer the consequences.
  20. That's really nice. A team that just got dismantled is out partying until 3am and stealing things from the community. Totally classless. I hope they are both benched the rest of the year. Regardless of the playoffs you have to make a stand against that type of behavior.
  21. A trip to the wizard of oz. There they can pick up some heart, courage and character. A tough guy is needed as well. Having Gorges and AK74 being your tough guys isn't working out that well. Rupp is out of Favor in New Jersey. Once Hamrlik returns, Obyrne they will get better defensively.
  22. Hamilton can't score. Trotter helps the offense. The Habs need a an offensive centerman. Hamilton can't score. Trotter helps the offense. The Habs need a an offensive centerman.
  23. A few stats on trotter. Led the team inscoring as a freshman. The only plyer to do so. has 76 points, 32 goals and a plus 20 in his DU carreer. (1 2/3 years) Nothing posted on height and weight. He was removed already from the roster.
  24. Yep, any playoff experience will be good for the youth, especially if Price can get some minutes.
  25. Yep, Streit and Brisby were brutal last night. Although Brisby through a nice hit. I thought Price was very solid, can't blame him on any goals . He kept them in during the first and second. Unfortunately this team is currently a 1 trick pony. If the Pleks line doesn't win it, know one will. They were very good again. defensive zone was brutal. All the D were pretty bad. Gorges I thought was a standout on the good side. The reasons are pretty simple why the Leafs beat the habs: work ethic, physical play and they forecheck the D into turnovers. So i'm hoping Hamrlik gets back Saturday and the Habs pick up the 60 minute effort again. I saw the habs picked up Trotter from DU. I will check up on him if i can, i live in denver so there should be something on him.
