  1. Gotta keep the faith with AKosty. He is still young and might be the best pure scorer the Habs have. He has the best shots amongst the forwards. I agree that he will become at least a 35 to 40 goal scorer. Hope he stays a habs for a long while.
  2. What i would do to insert BGL into the lineup would be put Dandy back on D in place of Breezer and insert BGL on the 4th line for spot duty. Thus Dandy could play both if need be. Using 5 d-men for parts of the game would be OK. Just a thought.
  3. The Sabs help out the Habs with a nicecomeback in the 3rd to beat Florida.
  4. Just looked at the stats and this puzzles me. Tanguay played under 3 minutes, whereas Dandy and Kostopolo played over 5. Metro just under 5 and Higgins over 6. Anyone else think that is just plain stupid. Tangs has been arguably the most dangerous habs forward lately.
  5. 1-1 after the 1st, but only 4 shots for the Habs. They just don't seem to be in sync on the ice. Got the first goal, but didn't create too much offensively and this against a mediocre Atlanta defensive team. Lats didn't cover when Breezer pinched to create a 3on1. Let's hope the Habs can turn it up a notch.
  6. I have to say that Higgins is right about where he deserves to be right now. That is the 4th line left winger. He has been outproduced and played by the 3 above him in Tangs, AKosty, and Lats. Thus he can see spot duty 5on5 and can be one of the main penalty killers. Lets hope these lines work better. Very happy that S.Kostits is back in the lineup.
  7. Bout time the Habs recalled Sergei. Even with some of his young mistakes, he always played with fire, something many of the Habs have been lacking. Maybe one game too late as he could have battled with Grabs.
  8. The Habs need to get back in the win column to keep the playoff drive alive. Go Habs Go.
  9. Unfortunately, Komi has probably been the most disappointing habs this season. Especially since he has been back from injury, he hasn't done much positive. What he has done is: 1) Constantly given the puck away. 2) Had most of his attempted shots blocked. 3) Run around in his own end. 4) Made Breezer look like a much better d-man. But most of all he has decreased his value this offseason, though someone may overpay him.
  10. Kudos to the Laps, Lats, Kosto line, too bad the others didn't pick up the slack.
  11. The one bad goal cost the Habs at least one crucial point and the goal came just after the Habs made it 3-2.
  12. What a crazy game. Maybe the Habs can salvage something in the 3rd. Great job by Komi of screening Halak on the 5th Sens goal. He just keeps looking worse and worse. The way he is playing, i won't be upset if he's not resigned, especially for big bucks.
  13. The Habs PP, with a chance to tie it, what a f...........joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. WTF. I have to step out for a bit with 5 minutes left in the period and i just come back and it's 3-1 Sens. What he hell happened???
  15. Looks like a lineup that should score some goals. All that the Habs are missing is S.Kostitsyn back in the lineup(not counting an injured Lang.
  16. Anyone else thinks it's time that the Habs recalled Sergei Kost from Hamilton? Would bring some more offense and grit to the lineup.
  17. At least the Habs got a point, coming back from 3 deficits. But on a negative, Price sure did suck balls in the shootout. 0 out of 3, not many goalies do that. Had lotsa shots, but the 2nd Ranger goal sure was terrible.
  18. With Komi, Price, and Higgins i don't think there is any way possible that the 3 could have worse years. At least Price played well for a period of time. Higgins and Komi look like they would be better off in a yoga class. Not sure which Kost you mean?
  19. Some of my thoughts on the Carbo firing: Definitely surprised by the firing. Have to believe that Carbo's lack of good communication skills were a huge part in the firing. If a coach has trouble talking with his players, it may be tough for them to understand their roles. When guys are sat out, they should know why. One of GC biggest problems was his delegation of icetime. Too much of Koivu, Kovalev killing penalties. Their enery should be preserved for 5on5 and PP time. Times when Kostopoulus would play more than Akostitsyn. Just ridiculous in my mind. Especially when down a goal. TK is a warrior, but best suited for about 12-13 minutes a game. Carbo liked his foot soldiers too much. They are valuable but i remember when the PP was struggling and he would use Laps and Kosto on the PP. Terrible. Why Carbo would rarely use Dandy on the PP amazed me. He might be the fastest Habs forward and that should be a good part of this role. Anyways, hopefully BG turns the ship around.
  20. They definitely have some chemistry and look good togethere.
  21. I sure wish he was back with the Habs. Brings alot to the table. Speed, skill, grit, and usually pretty reliable defensively for a younster. Hope your back soon SK.
  22. I was playing there too, when i was surfing the net and saw the news.
  23. Wooooooooooooo. Habs win one on the road. Didn't start watching til like half way thru. Just missed the Akostits goal. From what i saw the Koivu line had some good chemistry. Tangs and Akostits were flying out there. AKostits coulda had a couple more. Price looked sharp. Nice to see. Big 2 points there.
  24. Here is what i would do: Pacioretty/Plekanec/Kovalev Tanguay/Koivu/A.Kostitsyn Latendresse/Lapierre/Kostopolous Higgins/Chipchura/S.Kostitsyn Dandy, Stewart and Metro spares, with Diago sent down to Hamilton I realize Chips and SK are in Hamilton right now, but SK brings much more to the table than any of the above. Could try Higgins at centre with Stewart on the wing for more grit. With all the criticism about SK, i would have to say that he's produced as much as Higgins and he's just in his 2nd full year. Also SK brings the Habs some much needed grit and is usually pretty reliable on the backcheck. Liked the way Pax played with Pleks and Kovy earlier. Another thought is this: Pax/Pleks/Kovy Tangs/Koivu/Lats AKosty/Laps/S.Kosty Higgins/Chips/Kostopolo Lats seemed to play good with them when Higgins was out.
