What do you like about Larsson?, I don’t know anything about him.
-
I don’t want fair. I want Bergevin to buy low because the player is seemingly out of favour (Gostisbehere) or because a team sucks and lacks forwards(Lindholm or Fowler) etcetera
-
I would not expect Hudon or Peca to clear waivers. Hoping for a trade so that we get something back instead of losing another asset without any return
-
That would be a great trade for the Canadiens. Not sure why Philly would do it unless Fletcher wants to join Chiarelli on the permanent ‘ do not hire as a GM’ list.
-
Juulen would make that a much more palatable deal for me
-
I don’t know enough about the players involved to comment on the first proposal, but getting anything for Hudon seems like a positive move. I really hate the second proposal though.

If you could retire ONE more Habs number - whose would it be?
PMAC replied to titanfan's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
I think you meant to say: “After Price finally leads the Habs to the Cup he will be worthy- a no -brainer candidate...” -
Just Gravy Baby! not quite Al Davis, but I’ll take it and the points
-
How about Alzner for Lucic, a 2nd and a 3rd?
-
Gravy, me want mooorrrre?
-
Go Habs Go!
-
I’m not sure about skyrocket, but if Phil Danault can go on a hot streak then so can Mete
-
What about Calvin Picard? He should be available cheap and he would be an upgrade on Niemi
-
In what universe would that be a good trade for Montreal? Oh yes, the one in which Yannick Weber is still a Canadien and is the main piece going to Colorado
-
Bruins taking a lot of liberties that were not called. Even if they were, our Powerless Play is no deterent All I want for Christmas is a better power play and a winning record on the road trip?
-
Gotta hope the Bruins stay out of the penalty box tonight ?

Mean is good when it is on your team and it is a “skill”that does not decline with age

Waivers Xavier Ouellet clears waivers, sent to Laval
PMAC replied to dlbalr's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
True, but I was hoping Bergevin could turn at least one of the excess assets into at least a late pick. Oh well -

What has Ouellet ever done to you? When we have injuries the more depth the better. I didn’t say I wanted him in a top six role in Montreal; I only said I hoped he wasn’t claimed so the team would have more depth in Laval -

I think he will be claimed. Hope I am wrong, if not it will be the third player lost for nothing this season -
I’m not saying that we should go all in, but if Mete for Muzzin accelerates the “re-set” it should be considered. Don’t get me wrong, the last thing I want the team to do is to make an ill-advised trade, but again it depends on where they see Mete’s ceiling, and most importantly— that their assessment is correct.
-
I think it depends on how you value Mete. If he develops into a top 4 d maybe you are right. If not, maybe you make the deal. My crystal ball is foggy on Mete’s potential but it doesn’t seem that he has the offensive chops for top 2. Does the rest of his game push him into the top 4? If not, we have a plethora of 5-6 D men and they are not difficult to acquire if you need one.
-
I stand corrected. I thought he had sat out
-
Michael Faber suggested on TSN that the Canadiens should explore a deal like Mete for Muzzin. Muzzin is 29 and not ufa this year so how about: to LA Mete, a 4th and a prospect ( not named Brook, or Suzuki) to Mtl Muzzin

Brodie was seriously out of favor with Calgary fans and was a healthy scratch earlier in the season. Has he worked his way back into the coaching staff’s good books?
