  1. The Canadiens mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. 🎉🎂 Looking like the Habs pick in the 6-10 range with an outside chance of picking 5 if Arizona can go on a heater. Lottery is always possible but unlikely I think the Habs did play better and more consistently than last season. Our Defence in its current state is too weak to win but help is coming. Habs were competitive in most games this season and had significantly fewer listless, effortless games. Decent progress for the rebuild I think and I wonder if Suzuki has a 100 point season in him?
  2. Hey Habs lose and Suzuki, Slafkovsky, Caufield get points. Pretty successful night - sorry Primeau
  3. 4 goals for Suzuki 4 assists for Slafkovsky 4 assists for Caufield I like this outcome
  4. So the best, most likely scenario is that Calgary finishes 11 th worst overall or just outside the playoffs. I think it’s possible but I don’t see Florida in that range. If both teams finish bottom 10 then the Habs get the better pick of the two? Even though they are bottom 10?
  5. I completely forget about the season where Danault’s offence dried up. He was asking for around 6 million if I recall and Bergevin would only go 5.5 or something close to that. I also remember McDavid crying and having fits because Danault put him in his back pocket. I’m not sure if Danault should have been signed or not. It’s a really close call.
  6. I hope Primeau plays another excellent game. A Primeau that pushes Montembault for ice time next season would be great for the team
  7. I guess I’m considering the player Gallagher is now as compared to what he was. Danault was an underrated centre here.
  8. Ok these are the best lines combos since 2007 season. I was shocked that the Habs made the list but even more shocked at which line it was.
  9. Will update with lines or rosters when they become available. Hoping Suzuki continues to push for 80 points this season.
  10. Koivu elevated his game to elite levels at the Olympics and during the playoffs. Remember how dominant he was the year he got his eye carved out? He was leading the league in playoff points. Koivu always had an extra gear or two for the playoffs. Don’t think that’s “clutch” I think it’s pushing your body through injury limits (like his knee). Price did that during our cup run and so did Weber
  11. These are the point leaders for a season since the year 2000. What a damning indictment of offensive failure. I happy that Suzuki is on this list and I expect him to top it soon. Also screw you Domi for being on this list!
  12. Stop winning you bastards 🤡 Proof that players don’t tank I guess. Still super happy for Suzuki
  13. The good news about the defence is that there are better players coming soon. The offence is as you say. I do like the fact that Hughes said in a presser that he knows Montreal is in need. I would be shocked if a player isn’t added this offseason to help address this. Hopefully we get to see if Dach can play an entire season as well.
  14. Suzuki with 69 points in 73 games is pretty great. Hoping that Suzuki hits 80 points starting with a hat trick tonight.
  15. Christian Dvorak’s status has been upgraded to day to day and MSL says there’s a good chance he’ll play before the end of the season.
  16. Christian Dvorak on ice at #Habs practice this morning wearing full-contact sweater #Habs I thought he was done for the season but perhaps we see him soon.
  17. The one area that the Habs stink at is 5 on 5 team defence - second last in the league.
  18. Goaltending stats for both the team and individual goalies. Habs are solid here.
  19. Yes just before the penalty. Panicked chaos for 30 seconds. Didn’t realize Suzuki was responsible as well
  20. KK didn’t look good in last night’s game at all. His only impactful plays were dirty hits on the boards. I entertained a KK trade but the kid is a waste of a roster spot
  21. Montembault made some really quality saves in the third. Harris had that 30 seconds where he turned the puck over three times in front of his net. Habs fell apart a little bit after that. Still, a great game by the Habs
  22. Not a bad period by any means but the Habs had 3 or 4 very good sticks in their slot that surely saved goals.
