  2. Doesn't matter what you want, some trades are painful. I 'dont' want to see him traded, but he could be a valuable piece in a deal and would save having to trade Galchenyuk. Shaw can play the 'spark plug' role.
  3. 17g in 68gms last year, so could easily be a Radulov replacement.

  5. Is funny. You hear more and more people complaining about the salary cap, "You cant sign more than a couple guys on your team to mega-huge contracts, so just not right, we need to be like the NBA with franchise tagged player!" But, they play only like 10 players a game not 20+ and their frickin contracts are simply crazy $/yr. It is even playing field in NHL, smarter GMs will do better not whomever has the richest owners with open pocketbook.
  6. Galchenyuk the comedian; when asked about being Centre or Wing; he said "I have a clause in my new contract that allows me to walk away from a scrum whenever asked that question."
  7. Getting bigger isn't important for him, he is a good sized winger already; but, it is between the ears he needs more work on. Consistency and play without the puck is what he needs to improve on most and of course youngsters skating can always be improved.
  8. "One of the players who stepped it up on the final day was 2014 first-rounder Nikita Scherbak. He looked lethargic early in the week, but he was flying Wednesday and scored both goals for the Red team in a 5-2 loss to Ikonen and his White team mates. Lapointe noted that the Canadiens have to be patient with Scherbak.."
  9. One like that have even won a Norris trophy..albeit was only 1/2 season, so asterisk that one.
  10. Yesterday, heard one person who is around Habs saying Subban being gone was good for dressing room. Today a different person said situation with Subban was "untenable" and there was a serious dressing room issue. I have heard absolutely zero people disputing that since the trade happened, is has all 100% been in-line with those recent comments. Some people are just idiots and think world revolves around them and being traded maybe has smartened him up somewhat?
  11. Vanek is unemployed is he? Wonder what he would cost and would he return to Montreal?
  12. $8 to 9m left to spend, what will Bergevin do? Sign Markov and Jagr?
  13. Project players in 1st round? Leblanc, Galchenyuk, Sergachev, Scherbak, Juulsen, Poehling, Beaulieu, Tinordi, McCarron could of been had in later rounds? If you mean 2nd round, that is fair for some of them. Only two I didn't like (both are very large).
  14. Supposedly No no move/trade included.
  15. I wanted a long term deal for the kid, but just glad he is under contract...now just one more big deal to focus on.
  16. 3 yr $4.9m/yr is reported deal
  17. This is what Scherbak had to say; He has been engaged and breezing through the skills portion of development camp, but admits when it comes to the scrimmages he hasn’t been at his best.
