Pateryn joins the rush and sweet pass to Dumont for tying goal.
-
Pateryn has had several scoring chances and 5 of Dogs 17 shots, he has been playing very well the last 2 games..
-
Murray of course. Gorges is #2 right now. So more like who will play on 2nd pairing with Emelin/Beaulieu. I imagine Markov isnt going anywhere for 3 years (even though I wouldn't want to give him more than 2).
-
Watson scored, dogs down 2-1
-
Eller straight up for Ryan Kesler? $5m/yr, 6'2', 51.3%faceoff, 50points/yr (37 so far this year), 29 years old?
-
Mciver 1 punched Tousignant. Still 1-1 mid-2nd.
-
Pateryn is one behind team leaders in goals after his 9th, again on the PP, in 1st period, to go up 1-0 but now 1-1 1/2 way through 1st. Matching cages, Chouinard puck in face for 11 stitches and LL had nose broken in 2nd Heat game on weekend. Dietz is scratched with swollen eye from fight, so may have 3 guys in cages next game.

If you are OK with 14-51-48 as 3 of 4 centres, then yes, i can see why you would be OK with Eller going for Kane or the like in a winger. But, you also cant come back later and say forward group is too small and need to trade for or draft a big centre anytime in near future, or even a centre who is 50%+ on faceoffs. And you do realize that the Habs aint got an abundance of big centres in the system neither.

Eller is #1 F.O. guy, #1 forward in hits, #1 in blocked shots (but 9th in Habs forwards for PP time). He is 6'2" 215lbs and 24years old and people want him traded for a prospect? U kidding me? does that make sense after 1,000,000 Smurf-Hobbit snide comments on team forward group? Hard group to please.
-
Diaz played 25:26 for knuckleheads with 4 shots on net (and couple others blocked). So, you are supposed to put a player in the lineup, that you don't think can help you win and possibly sacrifice a game or two, just to ensure you get a 2nd round pick instead of a 3rd? And comments are from same people who totally freaked out when Subban missed 4 or 5 shifts, claiming it cost that game, when need to do all u can to win every game? Seems an odd stance. Frickin morons Bergevin-Dudley-LaCarriere-Lapointe-Mellanby, what the f... do they know about hockey and asset management, can you trade a whole Mgmt group? I am sure Milbury-McGuire-Lawton-Fergeson jr. and others are available to replace these idiots! Come on Molson, pull the trigger!
-
Silfverberg-Pirri are not same as a Conacher and would need a lot to get either one. A big young good skating RFA centre, of course Habs just have too many of those, ship him!
-
Boullion may go, but Murray is being extended. (I hope)
-
Got to say I like trade, hope Diaz can help Canuck PP and Weise adds some energy, speed and good forecheck to 4th line. And the 2 Manitoba boys played well togeather in Weises' first game.
-
The lil Swiss Kid got 4 points, but a -1. 3 pp goals for Dogs, is a positive.
-
2 points 4th place in the East
-
White and Weise are nice additions with energy, White 5shots/2 hits & Weise 3&3
-
Agree on Moan, he would fit nicely on any contender. His icetime seems to have dropped and Weise maybe a planned fill in for him? But, he and Plekanec are easily the best PK forward pairing on Habs and Moan seems more 'fiesty' this year and I think he would be missed. And trading him would open up more cap room, so will be interesting to see what Bergevin has planned before March 5th? I didn't think he would make any trades before Olympic break, so am wrong already.

cap sheet seems fine but does seem to be a bit of glitch on RH side of website once in awhile (a standard; "i this webpage cant be found", but webpage is actually fine at same time) and maybe have noticed for couple weeks? But no impact on function.
-
Lovetts M and yourself I agree with. I get fans are fans but to spends mega time crunching cherry picked or useless numbers and thinking is of vital importance and those who don't agree with them...you are a moron or stupid with condescending LOLs. Anyways, fancystat guys seem to drag everything down a negative rat hole and take great pride in it seemingly and oddly, as also claim to be a Habfan? Sure trade may be a mistake, but unlikely of much significance, cept opening roster spot for youth and cap space leading up to deadline. Diaz maybe at best, could of got a 2nd round pick, which is an asset with 33% chance to even play in NHL, or take a big gritty guy who can hit a bit. skate and isn't real fond of Tortorella. Weise was, as Canucks announcers just said, one of best Canuck forecheckers and skaters, but just didn't see eye to eye with Torts and spoke out publically and Torts turfed him for a 2nd time. Not sure why, some think, Dudley-Bergevin-Mellanby- etc are total morons and are making dumb decisions (funny how some even said lack of education is a reason, to hate the Mgmt team, which is so lame and off-base, but some will use anything to make their point seem sane)

And Diaz may of been asking for much more $$ to resign? And is more important for Bergevin to figure how to play (or what exactly to do with) 76,79, 81 than 61 wouldn't you say? And also may allow a Moan or Prust to be packaged up without leaving a big hole in lineup, but only Bergevin and crew knows what 'master' plan is. And especially with Beaulieu playing as well as he has, made Diaz that much more expendable and may also allow a more open slot for Tinordi-Pateryn to fill on 3rd pairing in March. And exactly what better offers that you are positive Bergevin turned down? I am sure he would turn them down to take a lesser offer eh (a bit illogical and pure fantasy, is my guess) But 2nd guessing is entertaining to see different points of view I suppose.
-
I liked his grit and size, fits culture change, is 500,000 cheaper, only 25 years old, a Western Candian guy also a plus and Diaz was on Mgmt's shitist. So am fine with it for more grit and depth up front. Would a 2nd-3rd round pick been better? Dont know, but splitting hairs.
-
Boycott Molson beer, fire the GM- Coach and trade 1/2 the freakin team!!! Unlikely a popular take I know, but I thought a fun/entertaining game. GO SHITHAWKS GO!
-
Gutcheck time! Would like to see Beaulieu on for 4 on 4
-
Beaulieu coasting, is faster than most forwards. Montoya playing solid.
