Hudon gets GWG and now he, Nevins, Reway all have 5. Fucale finally loses a game.
-
Torts rampage in Calgary I thought would get him fired? Didn't like the Luongo-gongshow and some of stuff Gillis said/did, so seems a smart move. But Torts may not be around long under new GM?
-
The stats of the other 2 Tampa goalies sucks, Lindback isn't very good is he?
-
Dogs PP started at 13.5% and now went 0-5 today, potent it is not. IceCaps score again 3-0; 4:00 left. Well well.......the birthday boy-Crisp scores his 1st pro goal. 3-1 loss. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1012165

Sorry bud, bad choice of diversion. Just saw goalie Bishop going off hurt in Tampa-Leaf game? Hope not bad injury. Not sure who I want to win this game? Got to go Tampa I guess.
-
9 seconds into 3rd and 1-0 for IceCaps. Pretty dull game, fairly even shots, no rough stuff, Crisp had 1 big hit in 1st (on his 20th b'day). Good goaltending. Then Morgan Ellis fumbles puck in own end, turn over and big blast which Dubbie hadn't a chance on. 2-0; 12:10 left in 3rd Holland gets smoked and boarding penalty. Sorkin playing PP time.
-
He is a leaf 1st rounder, so he sucks (or will go with that) and will be flipping burgers in couple years we can all hope. A Burke truculance flop!
-
Maybe tomorrow I would guess? If Emelin/Markov arnt going to Chicago.
-
Therrien as a coach is.... All the armchair assumptions about PK and Therrien are...... How bout those Blue jays.
-
yup
-
Good, smart play. Didn't Bowman used to send top Habs on vacation near end of season?
-
With Moan & Plekanec on the PK, I feel darn safe. Just hope Moan can dress and help shut down Stamkos and kids on the PP (my biggest worry for that series).
-
Would love to see the 'legit' prospects get more icetime, and Tarnasty/Bkunden/MM etc get short shifted, who give a rats ass if win last couple games? Give the kids more ice to show what they got.
-
Shawn Thorton got dropped/concussed in a fight, exact same as Moan, this year and still doing 'his thing', so Moan likely wont change his play much.
-
I was against picking him then and still feel the same, but I hope i am wrong. But, he did stand out last year at U18s. Which again will showcase draft kids very shortly and several more USA guys I think would be nice prospects; Jack Glover, Alex Tuch (McCarron II), Sonny Milano or Jack Dougherty. I think Glover may fall in that 20-30th range where Timmins will need to pick from and a big physical defensive d-man would be a nice addition to the system.
-
I can easily see him turning Salo-Hedman-Brewer-Gudas inside out, draw penalty/scoring chances. Gill was teammate/friend/fan, not his coach, is different. (but I hope Gill does return as d-coach some time down the road, seemed smart/witty/good team guy)

When you play 82 games and end up 28th worst in league you can trust the standings, you sucked. Why not a legit top 3 this year?
-
Idle hands can look up weird stuff quick these days. Looked at Briere's playoff production and pretty good; 27goals in last 3 playoffs in 45 games and has 50 goals in 108 games for career. So he is experienced playoff scorer and may prove Bergevin right by signing? And Wiese/Gorges almost 100% and Swedish Frankenstein will be back (or eligible) on Thursday, so would be a fairly healthy team heading into playoffs and hopefully Moan/Prust are doing better?
-
I think Subban will have a super playoffs.
-
Sounds like Gorges & Wiese will be back for start of playoffs at worst and But Prust & Moan? Moan is very good on the PK; Gorges-Subban seem to play well together and Wiese seems to help them win and speedy gritty energy guy always good to have around. Just seems like Prust's shoulder is not very durable, but he sure can be an effective guy at times and fights alot.
-
Why I'm excited about having Danny Briere RIGHT NOW
DON replied to Jeff Price (no relation)'s topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Moan 16.9 shifts/game Briere 16.7 Prust 12:49/game Briere 12:39 whatever you call Briere, he has played 'sheltered' minutes and seems to do fine with limited icetime. -
I really don't like the leafs and enough French in me to be genetically predisposed to dislike Bruins; but you got to admit, they have a pretty solid team and Rask is one super goalie, that will give them a chance vs anyone. But, I guess am more 'worried' bout Tampa outscoring Habs and just hope can get to 2nd round to meet Bruins, which is always very entertaining and flip a coin on who would win that series.
-
Ok so some bookies have it as 4% chance and not 5%. Either is about correct for Habs winning cup, slim chance. Over hyped Bruins? What would make you think that, they are darn good team? They have dominated and didnt back into 1st place in league by accident.
-
Current Odds Habs win East 10:1 Current Odds Habs win cup 20:1 seem bout right, but is a high % of upsets in 1st round and Tampa series will be very very tight I think. But, hope they make short work of em.
