I was reading some of the trade proposal involving EDM, and I wanted to add this one, specially after yesterday's Allen performance in WPG. The trade would be: To MTL: Holloway ($0.925M until 2024) & Campbell ($3.85M until 2027 if buried in the AHL, $5M/yr otherwise) To EDM: Allen ($3.85M until 2025) & Ylonen ($0.775M until 2024) Montreal reunites Holloway and Caufield, and add top-6 talent to their young group. Campbell can be left in Laval the remainder of the year, and bought out for $1.5M/yr until 2027. He would be a good emergency recall if they have goaltender injuries. They get a bottom-6 forward that may do well in manged minutes for them. Edmonton also gets a goalie at a lower cap hit and shorter term than Campbell; Allen may be open to go to Edmonton and be half of a 1A-AB tandem. They have had too many "Really Bad Starts" (RBS) this season but did better last year. I think a tamdem of Skinner/Allen may work for the Oilers:: By trading Campbell to MTL, he would have a chance to earn a spot with a team by performing well in Laval, without the pressure of competing for a cup if he makes the NHL roster. The Habs would get more stability behind the D prospects in Laval.

well, MSL is getting far more success that his predecessor for sure. That is why I posted that on the other thread, I have no clue why anyone would bring that up here Go Habs Go! I hope Anderson continues building his confidence up, that Slaf continues showing consistency, and that Allen gets more goal support.

2 out of 6. Allen loses tonight, and they will in Chicago. MIN-MTL is 50-50, but given how well MIN are playing now I think Habs lose that one Unless Primeau steals a game... I expect Montembeault to play and win in CHI.

I doubt Martin will come out of retirement (adding) to coach behind the bench. I do not think Capuano's coaching record (Left) is much of an improvement over Smith (Right) on a rebuilding team. Four quarters for the Dollar: Payne doesn't seem like a big improvement either:

and they do not really have a better alternative in their organization. I think they will ride the storm and will be happy with a high draft pick that they may use to improve their NHL roster.

I listened to the third period and all the way to the winning goal. Dobes stole this one by keeping the game close and by coming up with spectacular saves late in the game. Three quality starts in a row for him

There is a lot of learning needed to win a cup, getting in is one, making it to the final 4 is another, the heartbreak of loosing the semis or finals, then there is winning. Starting that at 25 is perfect… delaying that learning processes pushes him out of the “prime years” window

I agree, if they do not make the playoffs next year, with an expected 1st round exit, then Habs risk missing on Suzuki's window. Not a big deal on the grand scheme of things, but it may disappoint some fans (not me).
