  1. if I cared more for the current version of the Habs, this long list would concern me. As it is, I am happy for how well we are tanking:
  2. Good recap, I didn’t miss much of a game : http://www.habsworld.net/2023/01/forsberg-blanks-habs-as-ottawa-takes-5-0-win/
  3. Good, I may not need to watch the recording
  4. if AM is on LTIR until the trade deadline, does TOR all of a sudden have some cap space to trade for playoff help? I +/- remember the rosters are expanded after the Trade Deadline nut the cap remains. I am not sure.
  5. good to see so many turn to the dark side of fandom: let's tank together!
  6. RDS commentators have been saying all season that Suzuki tends to extend his shifts far to often. Seems like it is not something MSL is concerned about
  7. He is playing too much on a lost season i hope he doesn’t get injured
  8. Loved the game. The 4th line was great. Allen did well. Dach good again Ylonen was passable not good that Edmundson got hurt
  9. Me neither to be honest , but I am really happy he was recalled and was given a good chance
  10. will skip this one, but hope to FFWD through the PVR later, if something interesting happens. I wish Detroit would take Wideman in a trade, for someone like Seth Barton... if I was watching the game live, I would be rooting for Wideman to play well...
  11. maybe they wanted to do it on #BellLetsTalk day ?
  12. Guhle and Barron will be the top pair for years to come. Great skaters, great vision and hockey IQ. "Gamers"
  13. I usually just look at hockey-reference for stats, mathematical models give a way to quickly rank players but it does not replace the analyst job of looking at the context behind the numbers. For Montembeault, when he was picked up by the Habs (by MB? I don;t remember). They said that they knew all about him. He played in the Armada and Joel Bouchard knew him well. He is big and most that have coached/known him have said that he has a strong metal game, forgets quickly bad performances and bad goals. My first impression with the Habs was that he had good reflexes and that when he didn't over react he looked really good During this game, there were a few times where he was just compact, challenging the shooter and well positioned. When he has been on, he has been very good this season. Reminds me on how Halak came out of nowhere and showed he was a good goaler.I hope he turns out to be a good 1B or a solid backup like Allen.
  14. Loved Belzile’s game. Montembeault was great. Dach was magic I would love to see Dach with Anderson for a few games
  15. Many Habs are playing well I have particularly liked Ylonen’s game in the first period . More physically involved and just flying out there
  16. just found this table while browsing, interesting stats https://www.hockey-reference.com/leagues/NHL_2023_standings.html#expanded_standings Here is a snapshot of the bottom 10 teams in the standings as of today. Habs only underperformed in December, doing well in other months. Overtime magic has earned a few points for them:
  17. agreed, he has been injured too much for my liking and may be too expensive for the rebuild cap-wise
  18. Benn watching tennis I am glad they won sounds like it was entertaining
  19. Isn't Stu an Ottawa guy who has been mocking the Habs for years? Or am I confusing him for someone else? I think Hugh-Gort made the decision to go all-in on off-the-beaten-path inexperienced coaching for his rebuild
  20. I am happy for Belzile on two lost seasons (MTL and LVL)
  21. But he didn’t get to 29 goals like I predicted ! joking aside, I hope he returns in full form next year and I sincerely hope this does not become a recurring nagging I jury for Tweety bird
