if Montembeault plays (most likely) they will win; if Allen plays, they will most probably loose. Either way, I hope Monahan continues playing well, and that Dadonov and Armia continue improving and finding their groove. Go, Habs Go!

Savard spends so much time swimming on the ice that he should wear a wet suit! Dvorak's line had a good game. Monahan didn;t get any points but played well.

isn't this like three AHL trades for future considerations? this is my criticism of Hugh-Gort that I think is really warranted: I do not like how Laval roster decisions have been made all season.

I will probably watch this on PVR later. I hope Monahan continues to make his linemates better and that Slafkovsky plays a physical came again. I also hope for another strong game by Xhekaj and Kovacevic, making the decision to send Harris to the AHL easier. I like Harris, but I honestly think he would be better served there. I also hope the Suzuki line is closely checked by EDM so that other Habs lines shine. Go Habs Go! Loose pretty or win BIG !

Interesting chart. It is weird that for the last few days I've been comparing linepus between NSH, MIN, CGY, FLA, STL and MTL because those five teams have playoff aspirations while the Habs are in rebuild mode... but no player swap makes sense.

Habs players in that cap hit range are Armia, Dach, Byron, Edmundson, Savard, Byron would provide them the LTIR room for other trades and being an expiring contract would free them up to trade for someone with term. The cherry on the top for PIT would be getting Byron back for the playoffs. Edmundson would be a good addition for PIT, he could renew his success with Petry on another cup run. I do not see the benefit for MTL in getting Kapanen for Eddy.

I wonder if the Habs may keep Monahan if they can get rid of one of the boat anchor contracts they have He makes his line mates better, a good 2nd line center
