To be honest sykora wpould help this team short term, ive always liked him but his cost, plus age, and our youth movement(even though there not playing many minutes) makes this rumour pretty much null. The one for salei, or whatever, im sure many of us would like to have salei, and some even ozolinsh. I think our d needs an upgrade, lke another decent top 4 body added. I like komi, huge fan of bouillion, rivet(gets paid alot), but like him, everyone knows what markov can do, and dandy was a big pick up, but shouldnt be in our top 4. sourayis a servicable guy, but gets played to much like a number one defenseman, what we need is a offensive guy who can log some minutes

I don think marleau is available now even though thorton is there, its kinda what every teams whats, two number one centers, kinda like what all these rumours are suggesting we want. I personally would like a marleauy over a jokinen, but jokinen would be a very slight notch below marleau, but a perfect fit on this team. He is pretty much everything (besides prospects) than florida has. I would make the riberio trade in a minute. With that being said, i think riberio will eventually be a very good point producer on some team(im not saying montreal). I look at riberio and see a prsopal, or a savard. Smnall, tremendously skilled, produce points like crazy, yet a team is willing to let them go very easily. Look at how easily the last two have been just let walk away from teams.

You know what boys, to be honest if we wanted bulis to become a goal scorer, i think the only place it would happen is in ottawa. I would never want to trade bulis, but i think if you lined him with havlat, he would wake up. Just my two cents

i was watching som news broadcast last night telling the whole story.... its pretty screwed up the whole thing, doesnt sound like a great guy(frost or danton), i actually liked danton as a player, but i didnt know what went on was that bad.

My guess is this is riberios night, not bonks, although it would be really nice if he gets going. If you guys havent put the pieces together, when is the last time you saw riberio plasy great hockey? When he is your go to guy, remember when koivu was injured to start the year(not this yr), riberio was lighting it up, once koivu came back into the lineup, he cooled off. Just watch and see

Why is everyone looking at ozolinsh? Are any of these rumours legit? I know there are many other defenseman out there id rather have but have you noticed, big, strong defenseman arent as useful as they use to be? I know about ozo's offense, but i heard he is just terrible defensively..like terrible......ive never been ahuge souray fan, but its amazing how quickly ppl sour on him, mind you if he left i wouldnt be terribly upset, as long as we got something for him

has anyone noticed the amount of diving has increased, and it actually is working, instead of getting called. case and point O'Neil on saturday night? I actually like O'Neil as a player but he just fell over. Something has to be done about this, ive seen ryder do a similar thing, and wasnt impressed, something must be done. despite my earlier reasoning on lines, which i still wouldnt mind seeing, how about we keep the lines together, they played better and better as the game wore on, mind you they started like shlt, but we got a game stolen from us. With markovs stupid suspension, id like to see komi get more minutes, and i wish we could limit streits time on the ice a bit more. Has anyone heard of a callup?

you really have to wonder what kind of scrutiny he would have faced had he not scored. That was to win the game and he was trying to pull off a trick like that, kinda cocky but still an amazing goal. I could seea crosby or a kovalev pulling that off. I bet you someone trys for something even better within the next few weeks

ok well what have we seen lately, a few guys trying, and many who dont right? WEll ok, higgins, bulis, and koivu, and begin are the ones who try the most right? add perezoghin plekanec to that mix. (sometimes) Why not reward the guys who try? Im not sure what to think of riberio but i say break up the sioul brothers fior a bit, you cant base your career on another player. Ryder, koivu, zed perezoghin, riberio, higgins plekanec, begin, bulis sunny, dagenais...leave space blank Ok, youll all question why i do this right? Well bonk needs to wake up, so give him a day off, and after he'll be pissed right? well put him as our second line center next game so he can show what he has to do. Depending on what riberio does figure out next games lineup. Yes i know bonk plays well defensively, but hello get us some goals. (if you dont like tyhis idea, edit oyut riberio and throw bonk in there, that way riberio sits and we hpe he pulls a last yr. I left the last spot blank becauise our kids arent getting enough ice time right, and our defense is, so if we have too many defenseman we can always throw one up front, but more importantly, maybe double shit a rookie. feel free to comment(im not saying do this for the rest of the yr, but it will send a message that if you work hard and contribute, youll get your playing time.

From what ive seen, i think komisarek should be getting some more ice time to cut back on everyone elses. Souray has been terrible, but makeing everyone else play too many minutes fatigues them, thus making them play lousy, ala rivet last night.

Hmm maybe a game against a week goaltender will be a really good thing for us, if we fire as many shots as we have, we could do a rout! Mind you atlanta can score with ease, i really can see our goaltending being up to the task. Keep an eye on hossa, he's who im worrried about Go Habs Go!!

Koltsov was actually considered to be a really good prospect a few years ago, but im not sure he can make the nhl. Let the young guys play for us, yes theres growing pains, but it might not pay off this year, but them gaining experience makes them that much better for years to come. plus for these kids(well some of them), they might not be part of our team for a long time if we have other propects psuhing them for playing time, they need to make an impression to be part of a future, and they deserve a chance to show what they can do. :king:

you guys should remember zholtok, he actually was on our top two lines few years back, very skilled player, but easily pushed off the puck. Actually i do beleive he was one of our leading scorers way back when, but i should mention in those days we had lots of injuries, and ppl like craig darby playing big minutes.

I wasnt able to see most of the game on saturday, so could you guys let me know how it went. obviously we lost biug, but the shot count seems a bit odd, im guessing we ran into some hot goaltending??? If you can fire 40 something shots at a goaltender consisitently, your going to win games, luck wil start to fall on our side again, but..only if we put effort in(i didnt watch the last two games so i dont know) PS- anyone lok at the standings...look whos creeping up on us...kinda scary but i uess thats what you get for having shootouts

think of bulis when you think of marchant. There the smae type of player, both can skate, defesively aware, always put forth and effort, the comparisions go on. Who wouldnt want another bulis right? But with what we have on our roster and what money he makes, we should not pick this guy up. If we wanted to get rid of bonk, then he would slide in nicely, you know thats not going to happen, plus bonk has more offensive skills(mind you he really hasnt show that YET). So all in all, no marchant for us, id rather have a plekanec getting the ice time or a higgins(he's been impressive of late) PS- isnt it funny all our rookies only have stand out streches while the other rookies go in ruts? It stared with perezhogin, then plekanec, now higgins is the guy

Alright, im getting sick and tired of the way this team is playing, its been going on for awhile. Yes we are winning so most wont complain, but our lack of effort, or lack of effort for a full game is the problem. Anyone else watch the pittsburgh game? I did, and you know what, i was hoping the the habs would get blown out of the water. I was hoping for a 8-1 score, something like that. They didnt put an effort in(except for a select few)! Maybe it would wake the team up a bit, light a fire under there ass. I think this is whats going to take to bring us to the kind of play we need to be at. Next up is toronto, and id hate to loose to them but the way were playing, its a very good possibilty. We played hard in the third period to tie the game up with the pens, and probably could have beat them based on our third period alone and amazing play of Theo, but what about the first 2 periods? I a few glimpses, but overall we looked.......rather terrible. I actually thought we started to play well once souray got hurt. I think we have to start the game off getting, higgins, begin and ryder out there against the leafs, get some energy going. Play the kids a whole lot int he first period to send a message to the vets. enough said! one :mad: habs fan

I wonder why you guys are all questioning us right now, we are second in the league, yes ottawa has played less games so they'll be ahead of us once they play, but for right now were a top 5 team. Look at how we played against ottawa, we are really the only team who has given them a good run, besides the teams that somehow beat them. Detroit is good, and so is vancouver, but look at the division they play in, weve had a tougher sceduale. Right now ottawa is the team, carolina has to be up there, so are we, detroit(even though they havent played great teams) and then theres the rest of the pack. Nashville is over rated.
