  1. Since he hasn't done much since arriving in Montreal (I'm being nice here), I asked one of my friends from LA about him. They said he was simply a cap casualty and were real sad to see him go. All I can hope is that they are correct and his A game is yet to come.
  2. I like Mete too - his skill is hopefully enough to compensate for his size. My point was that Bourque isn't small - he's no giant, but no smurf either.
  3. 6'1" ... that's reasonable imo. Victor Mete at 5'10" is small for an NHL dman.
  4. I wonder if MB would consider doing a Gauthier and trade MT during the game ...
  5. Is it a T below the 9? Laval Titan? and tho it won't ever be a favorite logo, I like it. It seems classic like our CH and away from the cartoony bulldog and the like.
  6. Is Danault's play gonna mean we lose him in the expansion draft? I don't think we saw him as someone to protect at the season's start.
  7. Was that too many men on the ice penalty legit? looked to me like a hab went on the bench at one end and another jumped on at the other end gaining a bunch of ice as the play was moving back to the Habs end. Officials made numerous dubious calls. Numerous.
  8. I don't really want to watch 3 on 3 against the Pens lol
  9. Terrible second period. Habs were lucky to tie it up on a deflection. I've lost count on how many oddman rushes the Pens have had. The Habs cannot play this wide-open against the Pens! where is da system!
  10. I wrote this before the second goal was scored. He just helped prove it. Now I don't know why he was on the ice so long!!!
  11. I can see the Habs defense better this period ... OMG #89!!! Is that Johnston??? Manhandled. Man. Hand. Led.
  12. 2 on 2 - Weber had the puck carrier ... why Emelin didn't take on Hornqvist, I'll never know. EDIT! Just saw the replay. I'm too hard on Emelin here. Weber was beaten way earlier in the play and it was Byron racing back to try to get the puck carrier before the pass happened.
  13. Period recap from my POV in the nosebleeds Byron was buzzing the whole period. Price made 2 crazy saves that had this section groaning. Emelin hit - nice. Weber missed the net on a great chance Pens power play was impressive (last one not so much). Habs had better be done with penalties Beaulieu stood out a few times Happy with Petry Max almost cost a goal by failing to clear a couple times on one shift - looked good in offensive zone tho - so not a bad game so far McCarron had one shift in particular that really showed what we hope he becomes Thats what I got off the top of my head while I wait in line to get my beverage during intermission
  14. That was a pretty goal to watch. How often does the chalkboard plan work perfectly! they got the pens right d to bite and then they were chasing. Wish I could see a full replay so I could see whose fake at the blue line did the job for Montreal.
  15. Not seeing any offensive side to Juulsen's game - tho seems like he is pairs with Bean to be the safety net to Bean's riskiness.
  16. I was hoping after Tortorella called out Max at the World Cup that he could come out with a little more jump. Please Max, please, don't prove Torts right!!
  17. Exactly And if he declines badly you can bet Habs fans will be encouraging his retirement every single home game.
  18. Brian - does this move to Laval mean I'll get to see the Habs AHL team in Cleveland again??
  19. I'm thankful for both of you! I don't post that often anymore - but I'm always appreciative of the points you make. Some quality hockey minds here. And while I'm at it - thx dlbalr! I don't want to make a list of all my favorite admins or posters - but you, Brian, represent so much about why I've loved Habsworld since I found it (when Kovalev became a Hab).
  20. I still see that Robinson goal in my head that would be replayed over and over as part of the HNIC theme. Huge rush and goal!
  21. Hopefully when the UFA dust settles, someone decides to trade for DD at least. Emelin I'm on the fence with.
  22. My thots are that when the UFA window opened that MB knew he wasn't getting the Okposos, Ladds et al and that meant Radulov. Wouldn't shock me if included in this equation isn't bad PK out, bad Rad in therefore hypocrite MB, but more like that the dressing room can only handle so much drama. I like Weber. He fits. I loved PK and I absolutely feel MB should have gotten Weber + something. But adding Shaw, Weber, Radulov, Montoya while losing Eller, Subban, Condon (to AHL or waivers) makes the team much better! Maybe not 4 years from now when PK is going strong and Weber is worn out - but for the next 2-3? The Habs are better.
  23. At least Weber isn't from the Blackhawk organization? (Grasping for positives here)
