Ok back to rumours... My question... and as much as I my heart wants a yes my head says NOOO.... but come trade deadline (or before even), would you see it as a bad thing if we acquired AK 27, AGAIN!.... For the remainder of the season and playoffs? Would there be any benefit from reforming the Kostitsyn-Plek_Kovy line? or is Cammalleri needing Pleks more than ever? WOuld Kovalev be a solution for Gomez and Gionta... Can Kovy play left wing? or in any case CAN HE EVEN PLAY ANYMORE? Seriously...something tells me AK 27 could turn on the gas when he gets traded or if not traded come deadline he will turn it up a notch to prove he merits more contracts... AK 27 managing his energies and fuel tank is WAY TOO KOVY like... don`t you agree? specially when he's playing in a team that he dislikes.... remember his stats when he was playing for the NY Rangers before Gainey got him?

Gomez is the kind of centre needed to compliment 2 established wingers... And not the other way around. If your trio is lacking one of the two wingers then Gomez's is role is no longer 100% effective Thats the kind of player he is... He is only as good as your two wingers combined are... Because neutralize the best winger i.e. Gionta.. your left with less than half a line When Pouliot was doing everything right that line was doing everything right, when Pouliot got in a slump then the line followed I believe Gauthier and co know this... and the other teams as well. the solution for Gomer is another top veteran winger

I always thought J Martin was hired to be the future GM of the HABS... Bob Gainey hired a coach AND a replacement option if the Habs ownership was not content with the potential GM options within the Organization. I did not have Pierre Gauthier in the mix.... Nonetheless, with the departure of Guy Boucher, we are very much stuck with this scenario for at least another season seeing as the Habs have clearly established themselves as a top tier team (knock on wood). But I'm not sure Pouliot and Eller can continue progressing so slowly... As much as I'm sure that T Moen can't continue being a top 6 forward If Either Pouliot and Eller don't improve their game to a top 6 forward standard. You can be sure one or both will be moved to acquire one.

Perhaps I'm in dark here but I've yet to hear of a "during" season contract discussion that is only for ONE year! (Unless he was 50 years old) IMO if Gauthier is really discussing now with Gill its for 2 seasons or more

And concur with the choice, having the best offensive stats among all AHL dmen, plus top Dog among the dogs.. (pun intended) He amply deserves the shot, I would try him on Saturday, Practice along with PK in PP situations, Put Weber on the left and have the other right shot dman (PK) on the right whom can pass or could shoot one timers! I wanna add, that I believe Staal's (or however you write his name) knee on knee hit was an accident, but a CARELESS ONE! I would want the league to see that one again. Remember Laraque getting 2 games for his knee on knee? The canes were down by 3 goals. Frustration and spite go hand in hand with carelessness! He should be held responsible!
