Those guys won't get us much in return though. Gotta give to get..I'm not 100% against acquiring Kessel, but it'll have to be at a price we're willing to pay, for sure. One of Gallagher or Galchenyuk might have to go the other way i'm afraid. Emelin Pleks, Reway, and a pick? Could you imagine the carnage Max-Galchenyuk-Kessel would leave in their wake?
-
Kessel may cost us Gallagher, Emelin and our 1st rd..do we go for it?
-
YAAAAY, Mr Predictor is the best! Don't dislocate that shoulder
-
I keep on hearing rumblings out of Minny about a potential Mikko Koivu for Pleks and change... Is Mikko Koivu, idk, good enough?

Tampa has forced every team they've met so far to play poorly..it's not a matter of choice. I believe it's a combination of their skill, system and youthful exuberance. There that's the absolute most I will say about another team. Good series nonetheless. I still am pushing for Chi to win but that's neither here nor there

What will it take to make Habs a better club?

Yes, he may play wing all season, reluctantly..and then sign MB's offer sheet to become the #1C woohoo we finally get that elusive #1C -

With Eichel and Reinhardt in Buffalo this season, how long before Zem Girgensons wants out of there? Surely he won't be happy when moved to 3C? When is he up for RFA? -
yowza..MB and staff had better get lucky with that #26

I'm not so certain we'd find a willing trade partner? I actually think we're stuck with him -
Dangit So now if we're to get any scoring 1st line help, MB will have to swindle us a deal eh? Blockbuster on the horizon perhaps? I won't be holding my breath
-
Can you imagine?!
-
We're probably going to have to hit a homerun..heck, a grandslam..with our 26th pick don't you think? I wouldn't think we'd get much at 87, 131 etc..

Next topic: David Desjarnais What would you do with him? 3 LW? 1C or 2C? Trade sweetener? Or is he with us until the Quebec Nordique expansion Draft? Watch he'd be their Captain too haha -
I think that most of us here would be one of those sheister GM's haha
-
You hear of players in the NFL re-structuring their contracts quite often..generally it's a QB relocating some of his millions so his GM can bring in help. Is this allowed in the NHL? I've never heard of it if it has happened
-
Hey 30/31, have you changed your stance on the Western team running away with the Cup yet? Looks pretty even to me..in fact I wouldn't be surprised to see TBL outlast Chi
-
I'm wondering why teams don't issue offer sheets more often? Is it frowned upon, or some sort of unwritten rule, or gentleman's agreement among GM's?

I think the new format should serve drinks -
Hawks look to be slowing downnnn
-
..not to mention that we don't have any money left, I'd say a bridge deal is a given
-
Another way of looking at it would be to call it developing young hockey players another year. Every year there's a certain amount of bitching about this pick or that pick..don't you think NHL teams would have a better idea of said player at 19 rather than 18? Regardless, it's not like our opinion matters anyway..It's not like we're proposing a new law to Bettman. So fk it

HAAAAAAAAAAATE the dump-n-chase!!! I'm talking stab myself in the eye rather than watch dump-n-chase hockey. I mean legit hate-crime against it..what a waste of possession! -

Or we trade so n so for picks, promote a dawg or two and let the chips fall where they may. Moving contracts might free up some cap space to go for it at trade deadline.. -
Obviously it wouldn't be up to the teams..and i'm not so sure the nhlpa would ok such a move either. Ok, now that I'm backed into a corner, I'll do it.

I'm just saying hypothetically if the NHL were to change to a 19 year old draft, IF an 18 year old was deemed ready, he could be granted an exceptional status and he too could enter the draft. It's not a completely ridiculous idea. The "first round bust" may be fewer and farther between..Unless you're the Mtl Canadiens circa 1988-2004 Haha
