RobRock
Isn't it amazing how motivated you can be when you lose two court cases?

dark_faerie87
Let's draft suomis then. Wait until the 09/10 drafts for that. There's apparently three kids who could turn out to be the next Finnish superstars.

RobRock
I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that the Russians will sue for every Russian player they lose to the league, and will lose every case. Then they'll close that "two weeks notice" loophole that got Malkin out of the country. At that time, the number of Russian draft picks in the first round will sink like a stone. You'll see players drafted later in their careers, 19 and 20, so that their contracts will lapse by the time they are ready to play in the NHL. You may even see more players come over to North America at younger ages, before they are draft eligible for the CHL, which would make them exempt from the imprt rules.
