PMAC
The East really is starting to mirrow HWL now... 3-4 iffy teams are gonna make it to the playoffs "by default" because the rest sucks even worse. Do we really look ready for the playoffs to you? Yes. We won a really tight game because of a hot goalie :hlogo: :hlogo: I don't care how ugly it was, Halak closed the deal. Would you prefer that we dominated and lost? 'Nuff said.

Yeah...and when the Habs play well but lose due to a hot goalie, this is taken as obvious and final proof of mediocrity (impotent offence); when the Habs play questionably and win because of a hot goalie, this is taken as obvious and final proof of mediocrity. For those who will only be satisfied when the Habs are the league's supreme overwhelming powerhouse, anything that happens 'proves' they suck. (For a little historical perspective, this used to happen all the time in the late 80s and early 90s too - fans in a tizzy because the team failed to lock up first overall, had a slump, etc., all things that 'proved' they were not 'real contenders' and Serge Savard should be fired, yada yada yada). Like I say, try to look at the bigger picture, which, in this case, suggests (IMHO) a good, likeable team, albeit not a serious condender, yet. bar
The better teams can be outplayed and still win..see Buffalo and San Jose. Not seeing the Habs are elite..but look at the best teams this year...do they dominate all the time? No team can be on for every game. We aren't in a position to complain about a win.
