This team usually has an identity, really stick together good time and most of all when it gets tough, they find a way to win. So the only thing that could change this low in the middle team into a contender is a true top prospect. Give the best young players the chance to find their scoring touch in the AHL. Paccioretti and D'Agostini. Fire Gainey and Timmins before trade deadline. Dump Spacek, Laraque, Metropolit, Bergeron for draft picks. Trade the Kots before they move to KHL. Sign Plekanek. Hire Patrick Roy as GM, Guy Boucher as coach and André Savard as pro scout. Trade up to get Hall.

In 2010 there will be a draft that could make us a contender in 2015, in the 5 year plan. Timmins is probably flashing on Riley Sheahan and Cam Fowler, asking Bob to trade Plek for a pick probably 11 or 12. Some huys named Forbort or Bjugstad. All american boys by the way.

What i really like about Pouliot is the way he scores his goals. Clean fast shots to the net. Great hands, crafty and fast, that it cannot be teach. We have seen so many cement hands over the years that it is a relief to see him on the ice. + his speed doesn't make him a liability on the ice. The only thing that can go wrong with him his becoming a Brian Savage type, scoring in draft, but as long as he is playing with an excellent playmaker i can't see that happen when you have hands.

Maybe Uncle Bob should take Jacques Martin on the thin ice of a deep lake.

No i didn't see him except for the international tournament and the summer prospect camp but i have huge confidence on Timmins ability to draft overrated american prospects. D'Agostini is quite deceiving, he is completely out of sequence and been the same since day 1 this year. Not only he has some ice time to show he wants the puck, he is a no show there no shoots -2 in 4 minutes. Come on 4 minutes, your job is to limit the damage in 40 seconds. The habs cannot keep him he cost 2 games by himself. All forwards have to play strong defense when the D squad is overused. Hammer 26 min/ Spacek on one leg 22min/ Gill on one speed 22 minutes 8 minutes on PK. Georges 24 minutes.

No rush on trading Halak. Goalies are the least problem right now, why make a new problem happen ? If a i am not mistaken Halak will be at the Olympics for Slovakia. The ref blew one big call yeah but the habs gave so many turnovers that they were playing without the puck and chasing it for the entire game. Puck possession cause penalties. As soon as they had the puck they switch lines in oposition to the Pens to taking the puck and create some plays. All the zone were owned by the Pens. If Price didn't stood on his head the game would have ended 6-2. Both K's were brutal last night offensively.

Pouliot not playing again Martin is forced to dress D'Agostini. just to see if he will choose the pink dress again. I'd play Weber as a 7th d 4th line if Spacek goes down again. With guys coming back with bruises big like a head Pouliots look like a wuss with his little wrist problem.

Weber had to learn to play defense with bigger faster players. I do not believe he had time to master that from where he was at the start of the season. Especially against Pittsburg ?? ouch that will hurt.

Hey this board is back on track with 8 pages of a game thread against Ottawa, great. Fns are back behind the team that is on the ice not the team that marketing promotes. Enough of this bring back Kovalev, and other stirred canned soup. This team is not promising to stardom , no flashes of greatness, they are giving what they have limited in a system made to minimize scoring chances on both sides. But it is a team, when we see Spacek ending a play on one leg, when Gionta played with a broken foot so did Gill, the young players follow MAxPAc and Sergei came back fast minor injuries last night. So were back with a wounded team, but at least it's a team.

D'Agostini and Pouliot are not expected to make the game. Pouliot not ready and D'Agostini out of any timing, should go to Hamilton for rehab like Stewart did, except to come back and do something. White should be out there with Pyatt and BGL. Lapierre was playing wings with Gomez and Sergei after his pass on Cammelleri goal.

White recalled because D'agostini stinked last night, he was skating with Pouliot this morning meaning he will see the game from upstairs. Both of Pyatt and White should see the ice as 4th liners with fresh legs for tonight with BGL. Bergeron will play D.
