Giving Drouin more minutes and time on the PP over Slavkovsky I believe is wrong. Drouin wasnt good enough to start games 1 and 2 but gets PP time in game 3 while our bluechip rookie has yet to get a sniff on the PP (in a development year)?? that I dont like regardless if Drouin was backchecking and engaged (for once) on the night Guhle looked like the best Dman for both teams against the leafs and didnt slow down much in Det but for the scare and is earning the minutes he's been playing... Hes looks great and although its only 3 games he looks like a real keeper! As long as his level of play continues i see no reason to not continue this upward trajectory of responsibility... Personally Id like to see him get a few less minutes 5on5 and PK and get some minutes on the PP 0 for 10 on the PP and they just cant get shi* together what 5 straight seasons or more?

What? The guy tore it up and was a beast in the Eastern conference finals and as bad as his rookie season went early on last year, he still managed +20 goals... hes a great kid with a great attitude and will likely become one of the top scorers in this league (like every other league he's ever played in)

As well he should be... he has done nothing to assume he is a lock for a spot... maybe this will light the fire? But I highly doubt it

to me they have strengthened up front no doubt. They have a good top 9. But, a lot of questions in net and on defence still.

BECK has been the best rookie since development camp bar none and has only improved when the competition got better. He deserves it most but unfortunately of all the years we have a standout rookie through all of camp... its when we are deepest at C in the last decade. He will do well now in Sauga with all the confidence going forward. With Edmundson injured i believe JACK-I and Guhle are both gonna make this team out of camp. There just seems to be more good from these two then bad and surely the mistakes will be less and less. Matheson Barron Guhle Savard Jack-I Wideman Edmundson* Harris Scheuneman and Norlinder have really dissapointed and Leskinen has done nothing to grab the open spot

This isn't accurate at all... on the giroux goal he tailed off on his back check and learned a lesson almost every player learns when they let there man go... mind you let Giroux go in the final 3rd right before the back door tap in. He didn't look at all out of place actually on the top line playing against a very good DeBrincat Tkachik line plus Chabot and Zub. Did he make mistakes in the game? Of course he did. Did he have multiple shots on net with at least 2 grade A chances and set up a couple as well? Yes This kids gonna be just fine and will likely get sent down ONLY because of the numbers on the roster... if not he'd be staying with the team because his growth in just the last 2 games alone has been exponential. He was arguably our best forward the night before against a stacked TO team as well. Do I want him sent down? If he isn't in the top 6 then yes said him down. Do I want him replacing a lazy Drouin or Hoffman in the top 6 immediately? Yes please. It's a development year and he played 22 minutes last night in a back to back

Arber X is a beast. If he can rein it in a bit and not get caught running around... he's gonna be sticking with team sooner then we think. SLAVS is having a good game as well. At least a half dozen chances created or taken

Bowey and Scheuneman are terrible

i would of preferred seeing Barron paired with Matheson again and up against the leafs top line of matthews Marner Bunting all night...

I doubt that... Harris and Barron will be given all of camp and likely last cuts to make this team if they don't. Beck has been a standout... and Mesar not far behind. I'm really liking Richard's game

Point is it wasn't that dark of an era. The era of darkness was post Roy 1995 and the dismantling of that contending team. We set the team back more then a decade. That's darkness...

As dark of an era as it was, we still managed 3 eastern Conference finals and a Dustin Tokarski from 2 Stanley Cup final appearances That's a lot better then half the league

I also read that kane and debrincat numbers dropped significantly when paired with Dach but havent taken the time to verify... at the end of the day hes just scratching the surface of his career and I'm sure MSL will help to break him out. Hopefully

Losing is what causes the attacks by the media and fan base... patches was attacked because he was our sniper and disappeared for stretches... his style of play which at times came across as lazy is what it was all about. Being a fairly sizeable player but never using his frame and always playing the perimeter. Koivu attacked? He was beloved by most and unfortunately became captain of a team that was completely dismantled post 95 (a contending team I might add) which set us back at least a decade with continuous losses. Suzuki will be fine.. and is the only logical choice... with no pressure to win year 1 he has a chance to grow into the role. Leadership is not defined by age nor is it a prerequisite

I disagree... Price has been an average goalie for most of his regular season play post Chris Kreider... (I HAVE NOT looked at his stats or other goalie stats to verify this claim)

Why not? Matheson was a direct replacement for Petry... I didn't include Scheuneman because he played a third of the season and was around the team for half but i probably should of grouped him in as well. The point was that's the group that will replace the minutes of Petry weber chiarot and Romanov as it stands...
