  1. Halak has 3 shutouts in 16 starts. Loved the lines tonight. I thought they all looked great. Grabs needs some face off practice though.
  2. All time favourite Habs:Guy Lafleur Present favourite Habs: Carey Price All time favourite in the League: Guy Lafleur Patrick Roy Current League favourite: Vinny...09/10...Habs cup winner woot, Player I used to hate: Billy Smith Player I hate today: Sean Avery
  3. I saw the third only, and the boys had some energy. I thought the hitting really affected the. Habs need to hate them more and respect them less. Take the extra step to drive their rib cages through the boards at every oportunity.
  4. Dryden was an important member of one of, if not the most elite team of all time. 1977 Habs. Plante played with the greatest dynasty and probably the runner up for best team of all time. Early Oilers would get honorable mention. My point is that these goalies were definitely great, but the team in front of them was phenominal. The 1986 and 93 Habs were not expected to win anything. Roy was the player that made them winners. Dryden and Plante had an entire team of elites in front of them. I really feel that Roy was the best goalie to ever play for the Habs.
  5. Never saw Plante play. Dryden was great but had a dreamteam in front of him. Gotta give this one to Roy IMHO.
  6. Ya the interference call may have changed that game, but I thought that the roughing call on Komi was BS too. There was a huge scrum, and he gave the guy a couple whacks for charging Jaro after the whistle. 7. What a great day. Habs move BACK into first in the east. Laffs get false hope of playoffs AGAIN. Bruins allow 18 goals in 2 games.

  9. Great goaltending by Pricer to keep us in. Kovy was a beast all night Gorges needs a rest. Holy shit this team is explosive. How do they see those passes, let alone play them perfectly. Character win even though we were dominated.
  10. I'm very disappointed in the lack of response to my coy "purse remark."
  11. I heard there was a purse thieving ring in Florida and NHL players were implicated in the plot. Might have something to with it.
  12. Actually it makes a lot of sense. I am from BC, and a lot of the Natives there are lovingly referred to as Chilcotin Cowboys. Obviously not by everyone, but if you ever go to Williams Lake or 100 mile House, you will see that a lot of the Natives dress like cowboys. That area is all ranch land. There is a big rodeo too. Haida art is exclusive to the west coast and the Carriers and Chilcotin did not have totem poles and stuff like that, that I know of. Country music is also extremely popular in that area as well. Aneheim Lake is 100 km. west of Williams Lake, so it may have some artistic influence from Bella Coola or Bella Bella, which are coastal towns, but I don't think so. I really think the kid just wanted a symbol to keep him grounded, so when he looks at it, he goes that's who I am. Playing hockey is just my job. I agree that he should have a little joe cool snoopy somewhere on there though.
  13. The Hart is a no brainer. If it wasn't Theo, it wouldn't have gone to Roy. It goes to the player that does the most to make his team great. Colorado was great, and Roy was a member of an already successful team. Whereas Theo had "a few crusty bitches and a handful of ragtags" and carried them into the playoffs. As for the vesina, the same argument applies. If I recall, I thought that the next selection for vesina should have been Luongo. His Save percentage was also quite high, and the shots he faced was ridiculous. In a year when these goalies are the only real thing that is good in your entire team, it's tough for the Brodeurs, Roys and Haseks to win the Vesina. I think the Aebischer stat was thrown in by Wamsley to show just how good the Avalanche were that year, and that if Abby could flop and flounder his way to 13 Wins, 1.88 GAA and 0.931 SV%, 2 shutouts, then you could probably just put one of those plywood goalies with the 5 holes cut out in front of the net and still win.
  14. Regarding Price's stick handling, I believe that now that Huet is gone, the team will be able to adjust to it and be available for a nice pass from Pricey. When they were swapping between Huet and Price, I noticed that a lot of times, the D weren't ready for his pass, and it caused a scoring chance. They were accustomed to going behind the net or to the corner to retrieve the puck from Huet.
  15. Pricey can sure puck handle I love the cube
  16. OKAY boys, no penalties and Attack, attack, attack. As I'm typing Komi draws a penalty. Crap
