Very smart to try Lapierre on wing. I like Metro at centre. I always have. He had a great game last night, and I don't expect that every night, but this line up almost gives us a 3A 3B line up instead of a 3rd and a totally pathetic 4th line. I almost hope that Sergei makes up with the team and comes back to the line up. As far as Chips goes, I'm sorry to disagree with some guys, but from what I have seen in the last 3 games, he is slowly imroving. Slowly. I think he is better than Stewart or Dagostini. At least the current version of Dagostini. I also think SK is better than Stewart or Diago.

This is why I giggle about the whole goalie thing. It's moot at this point. Also, notice that all but two of our games have been one goal games.

Ya Todd is like a broken record. Price could have bailed them out of one or two more games, but he has bailed them out on their only two wins. The team needs more goals, and the D needs to learn to control and clear the puck.

Read on TSN that Latendresse will play on the second line. Man I hope Gomez and Gionta can pot a couple. They get 3 or 4 beautiful scoring opportunities a game. Anyone sorry we didn't go after Gaborik instead of signing Gomer?

For our new first line, I prefer the Oompa Loompa line. Whenever they go on the rode, I always wonder who will run the chocolat factory.

Bring up the Cincinati cyclones and throw the next 3 years. Screw it. Fire timmons and gainey and get some CANADIAN OHL, QMJHL,WHL, elite big beautiful handed players.

I think we should throw the season, buy out everyone but Gionta and Markov, and suck for the next 5 years. It worked for chicago, pitts, and washington. Screw this mediocrity. I usually don't get upset, but I am now. That is enough.

Copied and pasted from another thread on a news sight. Beauchemin 3.8, Komi 4.5, Streit 4.1, Souray 5.4 = 17.8 mil for 4 mediocre dmen. Huet, 5.625 for a backup goalie. Kovalev 5.0, Ribeiro 5.0. That's a total of 33.425 mil for 7 players total. THAT'S why Gainey let these average (except for Kovy) players go. Jack, you don't know what you're writing about. Try another sport. Other than maybe Ribiero, I agree with all of this.

Go re watch the Montreal Red army game in the top 10 Habs games set for proof of this. Tretiak WAS spectacular, but the shots on Dryden were so perfectly set up, that he had little chance on a few of them.

He has been for two and a half seasons. He didn't look as great when Gonchar was down or Sidney, and he was being hammered every game. He did when his team played in front of him, and he performed well enough to go deep into the final twice and wear a Stanley cup ring.
