I do not disagree with anything you have said, however, it takes willing partners to have a meaningful dance. I do not see a lot of general managers jumping at Gomez, especially Gomez and the others mentioned, well you have equal quality elsewhere. Tough to be any GM in this economy.

Concerning Lapierre, I did not see the game but in the box score of the Montreal Website, it shows Lapierre with the least ice time of everyone in the game, even less then the 3 rookies called up. Can someone who watched the game explain it to me, did Max play badly or was it simply the flow of the game with the 4 lines? It appears the rookie fourth line played more then the Max third line.

Remembering how the team showed compassion on the loss of a mother or other loved one is NOT the same as making a career or business decision. The young man will have good remembrances of the organization but he made a decision as to where he thought he was a better fit for his career. Done is Done.

Not a rumor but a question, what are the chances the new ownership decides to make a major change in the off season and replace the GM and a new GM brings in his own coaching staff? After all GM's as well as coaches have a limited shelf life. Maybe Mr. Gainey has reached his best use by date?

I enjoy the posts but I do believe some of the posts are way too long. I would suggest most readers are moving on to another post after one paragraph. The ideas are good but your readers are probably gone before the end of your posts. The most important part of any article should be the first sentence/paragraph. I still read these posts but my eyes are getting tired.

Good coaches know when to rest players, it appears Boucher is a good Coach.

I think the holiday freeze is for trades only and not moves within a particular organization. How else could you have recalls in case of injury? Heaven knows Montreal has not had any injuries...

Do you think the owners take into considerations the number of injuries in making a decision on the GM and the Coach? Just asking!

I agree with everything you have said. I would like to ask what would the Canadiens get for the two brothers in the one package? Would the return be worth while?

I hear everyone jumping on the Weber and Subban bandwagons but I really like the way Carle played in the exhibition games and he does have some offensive skills. Not as flashy but can get the job done. He has improved greatly after a couple years with injuries. I hope Carle receives the chance and let Subban and Weber mature a bit more in the AHL.

I liked Dandenault but would suggest the defense for this year is set and the fourth line has enough player choices to fill the needs for a successful 4th line. Time to say goodbye to the past and move on.

The coach of the team is quoted as saying "last year their was a lack of toughness and leadership among the leaders of the team" and he wants to see who will step up to be leaders of the team. It seems to me before signing a Marleau for leadership you had better do some additional vetting of this player.
