I am 99% sure that if a team is over the cap, they forfeit every game until they are under... there might be more to it though... I remember last year that the devils almost had to forfeit their first game because of the salary cap.

despite being the canadian national summer sport (hockey being the winter sport), people here dont seem to care.... i watched it on cbc live, and man was gait ever on fire in the 2nd half! i didnt even see a word about it in the paper the next morning... YAY CANADA!!!

1. that would likely happen again because a lot of buffalo's crowds come from canada... 2. they dont have a suitable arena... it only has 15000 seats for a hockey setup and if its not good enough for the sonics, why should anyone else go there?

FYI, Naslund has a no-trade clause in his contract, so he would have to approve any trade involving him. Also, he has said he wishes to retire as a Vancouver Canuck, so it is unlikely he would allow any trades to happen

that is Wicked! In Van, we had the Indy for all of my life-time up until a few yrs ago, so that edmonton could get a race even though Van was one of the best attended races Champ Car had... but still, I held out, insisting that despite the poorness of Champ Car, it was better, and have refused for all my life to watch IRL despite knowing it was more powerful... Now, we will get the best of both worlds, and Nascar will be put where it belongs, non-existent in Canada and worse in ratings than hockey in the US!

every time those two teams met in the first round of the playoffs, the winner has gone on to the finals the ones i can remember off the top of my head are 89, 94 and 04, but i think there is one more...82?
