  1. IMHO thing is: - Gomez is a waste out there and JM is being blind in his case. - Gio and Cammy are not doing it, why and what ever the reason. Time has come to give a try to a couple of other guys to get out there on the PP. Since as far as I know Gomez and Gio are still out. Kaberle has been a pleasant surprise. As mentioned above, by ForumGhost and illWill, LL would be good to try out there before he gets sent back down. If not to just to see what his abilities are at now, in the Show. But to also give him and idea "for real" what it will take for him to become a factor with the Big team on the PP. It will also give him some confidence in his abilities as far as I am concerned. Seems to me as good player development. I just hope (wish and pray at times) JM finds a way to break from his blind and stuck ways. To bring himself to get new elements on the ice to create a 'new' energy and make this team a threat again on the PP. Ranting ehjay sinning off... blip!!
  2. all would be forgiven with Youppi! IF he had a trumpet and was a monkey. It would make more sense IMO
  3. As a fan of the Habs this is what I want too... well that if we can't get Nash that is
  4. Like I mentioned the chance of getting Nash I think are kinda slim. I think the price for such a trade is one that would be harsh. I would see it at along the lines of something the Laffs gave for Kessel (sp?) maybe Howson would even ask for an established young player too bcuz our season doesn't seem all done. what I ment by Letestu is he would be maybe more along the line of what could be market value. His bust/glory ratio is more better in that sense IMO Now the fact that he just got to CBJ does make him kinda untouchable yet maybe if PG would offer say ... a pick (2nd or lower) and a Palusaj (sp?) type player (good prospect more less league ready) I think it could be done and the risk of loss/win still stays better then what it would take to get Brassard. I see Brassard coming this way for Kosty as buck for buck trade or if Howson is a greedy man then for an Eller and prospect/ 1st rd pick In the case of the latter I would see the risk as to high to take on Brassard. I like Eller at Center and I like Timmins work. Sure he might have missed a couple here and there but overall he is a solid man in his job. Sorry if this sounds like a rant
  5. IMO this is exactly why the Habs can not take the chance on Brassard. The Habs have a lot of players who are in that label. I can see the game of numbers PG might be playing yet as a fan of this hockey club (and no other, just players and systems preached at times), I would to see the team make a trade for a 'blue chip' superstar. Cost of such a trade is another can of worms. CBJ has other members on that team I see with a 'better' fit in that sense. But just cause the chances of getting Nash out to us, kinda slim. can I suggest Letestu? Does anyone think same?

    Emelin

ohh man!!!! I must admit I was not able to watch all the game last night (SJ 12/01/11) but I did get a good bit of it and Emelin was playing out there!! He was like Puff the Dragon. Just nailing fish's to the ice. Here is a Puff to you this morn Dragon _s
  7. I wish Kosty a return to game as he was before getting injured. Maybe he can go get 4pts to Go Habs Go!!

I think he has a friendly fire insident with Malkin
  9. what if it looked like a dive and it really was: d) Gionta falling because of the size/weight differential between he and Chara and we loose Gio for a game? If it is playoff time I think ppl would start thinking Clarence Campbell is back in office and that Oh mon Captain is french Canadian. Not a tiny American.
  10. I hear what you are saying and at the same time I feel dirty accepting this reasoning. A blind side hit "not targeting the head" took out Sid, no? I am not saying this was the same thing but a blind side hit will nail the head 6.79 times out of 10. If this is right then intentional or not; imo the league needs to puts it's pants on. Maybe if the insurance companies would stop pay out of player salary, in cases like these then the league and teams would take player safety more seriously. I truelly believe this will also show a greater respect to the fans of these players, teams and the game. Don't quote me on the numbers I might be off from the ones Don the Cherry may have. Sorry if a any point i may hav come off as a Cherry like fascist.
  11. Is someone who hates every one equally a racialist? edit: sorry about that I had a Ali G brain freeze moment there
  12. agreed. I clearly thought to have seen a bling side hit there.
  13. I still hold to this romantic idea there will be no work stoppage in the NHL next year. Due to this I think Gomez should b kept for what he may bring to a cap floor team. Not much in terms of points but plenty on the financial loop hole game. He is kinda like a bail out, useless when you are not getting it. It's like he plays for all 29 other teams when he is on the ice. When he is injured he plays for the team he is paid by. To think at one time I thought it might have been a good deal for us Now since I think he should stay put him on the wing, reduced mins., no PP. Trade him at draft or in summer and get more then a bag a puck to try and get back something for McD. imho.
  14. thank you Prime Minister, may I have some more sir, please? from what Ican imagine the borch(sp?) did not pass but lucky for us there Marchand has offered to be an ice house tobe dumped on anytime he is around
  15. Does anyone have links to images of any o the hit?
  16. Here is the english one: http://www.hockeyinsideout.com/news/cunneyworth-ladouceur-join-habs-coaching-staff
  17. You are right about the Islander being deep down the middle. Yet even with Tavares being at the end of his contract next year, I still think Gomez is a great fit for N.Y.I. Gomez is signed for another couple of years and his cap hit will be greater then his actual pay out. For a team like the Islanders that does not wish to spend even to the cap floor, I think a player at the end of a front loaded contract is a great fit for team is search of a little relief on players salary. I don't really see is as a bad move either for such a team. Just maybe an 'overpaid zero' in TO is a local hero for the Bruins. Ohh okay an overpaid zero in TO will always be a zero and the Bruins can't spell hero, yet it could happen, right? ANNNND this will allow G-Love to keep fronting in the N.Y area, hell! he could boast having played with all of them
  18. G-Love (hahahaha) might be a great fit for N.Y. Illsenders Makes a bit of sence in a funny way. next year he (g-lo ... uhh! g-love) will be paid almost half of his cap hit and since they are like 10 million away from the floop, I mean floor this up comming season; Maybe P.Goat can get Okposo and a 1st (hahahaha) okay maybe a 1st and ??? would be cool, no? anyone?

  20. Neil would be my 1st choice. He is a beast and if White keeps up like he did last night then, IMO, I think the Habs would mash up the Boos and give a good lick or two to the flies.
  21. thanks dlbair you put up with my rants very informativaly much obliged sir
  22. yes I was joking I guess I was wishing for Burke to be a secret Habs fan and take Gomez off our hands. thanks for putting up with my rant, man did Gomez kill my buzz last night!!! Here is rolling to a better G-Love tonight and as for Konopka I would do it yet I would not give more then a 5th rounder if we have one left that is.
  23. Maybe PG can trade Gomez, Kornev and ??? for Versteeg. Kinda like the deal Sather got. 1 player that I would keep but the rest would be players not comming here or don't want to be here. Gomez, Kornev, brother Andre and a bag of pucks (maybe even a big bag of pucks). Fine granted in this last suggestion only the bag of pucks would be useful to the Habs but I think for Versteeg it's worth the loss. Kosty, Kornev, Gomez, bag of pucks and a hardy handshake (since cap space is an issue) and we could get back Versteeg, Kaberle (sp) and Kadri??? we can give them 2Ks, 1G, 1BoP and 1HHS for 1V and 2Ks; sound fair to me, anybody else?
  24. I can see 2 reasons why other then injury. fingrs crossed) we traded Gomez or we needed to add a guy to the team that can play a little bigger then Gomez Does any one think Burke would take Gomez for Versteg(sp?, would be almost as good as the Courtnal for Kordic deal back in the days
