  1. I always thought of Anderson as a very expensive 3rd line winger that could play up the lineup when hot. I wonder how well he would play in a line like this: RHP-Gignac-Anderson (I know RHP is on ir) just wondering with a speedy center and an energy winger with 3rd-line talent Or, for now: Pearson-Gignac-Anderson
  2. Harris is back from his second concussion, is available for tomorrow’s game
  3. I agree and also with most of the points made by @Sir_Boagalott on physical-maturity
  4. tough week ahead: https://www.habsworld.net/2024/02/rocket-weekly-three-points-from-the-atlantic/
  5. Congratulations to Kaskisuo on getting a contract extension to finish the year
  6. he was -12 on December 6, he is at even “0” today. An indication that he has improved his overall defensive game, according to the Rocket play by play
  7. I don't expect the Rocket to climb in the standings this weekend, but a winning streak may do that. Kaskisuo in nets today
  8. this is not the first time he gests smashed on the boards, multiple concussion effects tend to linger. I hope he recovers fully before returning and not rush a come back, There is no point in taking chances.
  9. Anderson was ill and a late scratch, Cederqvist was rumored to also be a late scratch but played through whatever bug is running
  10. Heineman Barron and Norlinder back tonight
  11. He signed that contract and F-Ued Montreal. He thought he deserved that much more. I do not want any part of that entitled piece of crisp-bread
  12. That is what I expect. He is becoming Many Malhorta, that 4C you need when you are a bubble team. A reliable center who can win FOs; someone you do not count on for goals. He can eat minutes, against any NHL line. In my potato head world, he is my 4C for the duration of the rebuild
  13. he would be great in many teams with high scoring top-6 where they need to test them instead of playing them on the PK. I consider Evans a core piece of my rebuild, but he is probably available for the Habs given how MSL plays his lines
  14. I got the joke the first time, it is sad how much it is true. When I see how well Lehkonen and Dadonov did once freed from MTL, I wonder how well Anderson, Ylonen, Pearson would do in other teams.
  15. Interesting to see how the xG for NYR vs MTL matched and how the game turned out. When you go down the list, it gives a good representation of expectation versus result I love this graph
  16. I agree that Pearson had a strong game. The top line was great and Guhle is a beast https://www.habsworld.net/2024/02/10-thoughts-bad-lapses-in-loss-to-rangers/
  17. I fully agree. I watched come of the games he him played in LVL and he was fast, had a very good shot but was not great at recovering the puck when the passes where off. He looked out of place often because he would skate to where he was supposed to be from practice (he is fast) but the passes never got there. He does not adapt well to the players he plays with. If he does not get a chance with the Habs on the 3rd line, I think he is heading to EU where he can probably play for many more seasons and make a decent salary. I doubt another NHL team would target him as a 3rd liner, each team has a version of Ylonen
  18. center, late bloomer, hard worker, creative offensively, responsible defensively, decent FO%, smallish, French-Canadian, etc. He is not an energy player like RHP, more of a top-6 forward in Laval for the last 2 years
  19. sane here, let’s hope they do not let them play to collect more $money$
  20. Gignac is the new Desharnais more than Simoneau
  21. Maybe Timmins finally gets the GM job he has been working towards
  22. I record and watch all games. I am with you in cheering for the team, happy for any positives This season is just a drag on my fandom, I did not expect them to be so riddled with injuries after all the positive spin the Habs PR made in the offseason. I thought they would have a better season
