I just hope they do not rush him, there is no need to put him in the lineup unless Strubble has a very bad game, or Guhle needs a breather -

I listened to the third period and all the way to the winning goal. Dobes stole this one by keeping the game close and by coming up with spectacular saves late in the game. Three quality starts in a row for him -
There is a lot of learning needed to win a cup, getting in is one, making it to the final 4 is another, the heartbreak of loosing the semis or finals, then there is winning. Starting that at 25 is perfect… delaying that learning processes pushes him out of the “prime years” window

I agree, if they do not make the playoffs next year, with an expected 1st round exit, then Habs risk missing on Suzuki's window. Not a big deal on the grand scheme of things, but it may disappoint some fans (not me).

thanks! I missed that. I didn't want to quote the whole article, and I didn't check the transaction details. I'll add it to my post.

December is flying by. I hope the Habs trip at the end of this year yields better than .500 points. Go Habs Go! Beat Crosby and his geezer squad -

yes, but Harris, this season, had a tendency of freezing with the puck in the defensive zone to then turning to absorb the hit just to be crushed against the boards. It became very common for him and that was concerning for his health. Last season he was able to move swiftly out of harms way. -

(forgot he is waiver eligible) Harris should * have gone * also go to Laval to learn to protect himself. If he can learn that, he will have a decent career in the NHL. He is smart and has great vision and IMHO is similar to Gostisbehere -
aww! 🥰 some love 💌 for Beck 😍 , my day is brighter

yeah, Marc Dumont has it also in his mailbag list/blog https://montrealhockeynow.com/2023/12/11/canadiens-mailbag-defensive-logjam-laval-rocket-issues-trade-options-habs-rumors-trade-nhl-goalies-hughes-primeau-rocket-defencemen/

fair enough, but for a short period, he could help as a specialist on the PP.

I would call up Gignac (if that is possible) because of his speed and intensity; or Kidney because of his creativity and skill with the puck which may help the power play. Heineman needs to find his timing, he is not ready yet after returning from injury.

Kidney is a very good puck handler and very creative offensively. Gignac has been playing well and his line has created lots of chances. Every time Xhekaj and Mailloux have been paired, they have played great on both "sides of the puck". I hope they stay together for a while in Laval and that eventually they play together in the NHL. Heineman has been creating lots of opportunities and hitting a few posts, he should start potting them in soon. overall it seems the Rocket is on the verge or taking off -

They have lots of games in hand and should come out of the basement if they continue trending up. BUF's coach should be fired before OTT's -

as a fan, his lack of interest on this has made me care little about winning. I am just happy to see a handful of players have good games. 🤷♂️ 🤷♀️ -

Agreed Francois Gagnon said that the Habs asked MSL if he would want a coach consultant (like Jaques Martin) and MSL said no. DJ Smith did the opposite ( that was Gagnon’s point: the coach has to accept) I don’t know if MSL will even be a “tactical master” , but it is certain he can relate to players and communicate clearly. I mention this because MSL seems confident on his abilities as coach; that is endearing but may be his downfall -

yes, you are right, Armia, Anderson and Gallagher three boat 🛥️ anchor ⚓contracts but they are the typical contracts you may see on most teams. Bad but manageable. Price's is just horrible.
