I’m hoping game 6 tickets don’t mainly go to corporate exec, highest bidder, sit on your hands ala Maple Leafs style people. I want those 2500 to be raucous and engaged! Make a difference in the outcome and show our newest Habs what it’s like to play in Montreal during the playoffs!

Glass half full … as the lower seeded team, Habs are where they are supposed to be - down 3-2 going into game 6 and the young bloods are about to lead the way, writing their own story. glass half empty … Habs delayed the inevitable and saved a few management jobs solidifying their idea that they are closer to winning than they are. I just really want to see Romanov in there on Saturday - and let’s win or lose riding the backs of the next gen. The old guys have shown their day is gone.

I want Matthews et al to be afraid of that open ice hit … you know … the one Romanov can deliver. I have myself hoping the Habs win and that they suffer a D injury that gets Romanov in the game. I just don’t believe our D is so deep that there isn’t anywhere for Romanov to play - win or lose tonight, he is part of the 2021-22 and beyond future for the Habs

It was likely the Habs would lose to the Leafs because the Leafs are better. I just hate the lack of passion. I’m sure they care, but I’m not seeing it. this is when I miss Bob Gainey, the player.

I’m not ready to blow the thing up - unless by hoping Seattle takes Weber in the expansion draft equals blowing things up. keep that young core. I don’t mind the new signings. Just let go of Danault, Tatar, Weber, Staal and turn this team over to the next wave. I’d keep Price given what is showing in the playoffs AGAIN when well rested. Ducharme has shown me nothing, and I’m ticked enough to let Bouchard replace MB NOW.

Adding insult to injury … I can’t handle NBC play by play guy saying ‘CanadiENs’ all the time! It’s painful - and in a game like this, actually angers me. The ignorance.

I don’t know where I got this in my head - but I had thot Ducharme was GM in waiting and Bouchard was HC in waiting. What if Ducharme replaces MB and Bouchard replaces Ducharme? or - if MB gets a 2 year extension, make Ducharme Assistant GM.

I’d love Icelanders over the Pens - since I live near Pittsburgh and it’s been pleasant since the playins last year to talk with their fans. And I do think Habs will push the Maples to 7. And at the end of the day, Habs playing with house money and the Maples tight on the stick, we win. (OT game 7 win would be Uber sweet!!)

Personally, I’m THRILLED about leafs in round 1. Habs are going to be better than they have been in weeks ... healthy, rested, AND COACHED (finally getting practice time). Also, underdogs with something to prove. Vets who have won the cup and know what it takes. plus - we know - the road out of the North goes through Toronto ... I’d rather play them rested, coached and healthy in round 1 than in round 2 and worn down after handling the Oil in round 1. this is a great set up. I actually can’t think of a better one that doesn’t include massive season ending injuries to Matthews, Marner, McDavid and any other superstar opponent.

True, but when we look at the stats, we are looking at the full season to date stats, not just from the last 2 weeks. for most of the season, Winnipeg’s offense was right up there.

Noting the absence of Drouin on that list. Hoping he is doing well.

Belzile over Gustaf is interesting. and Caufield with Staal & Perry ... a line with a couple of potential HoFers ... pity it isn’t the Perry or Staal of 10 years ago, but still ... I hope he soaks in what he can!

I’m on the fence with Ducharme. I said he hasn’t earned a contract for next year, but I am interested to see how the team would look if he had a training camp/systems practices. can he be interim again next year?? Lol that said, since the team has been approx .500 since he took over, I’d have an eye to who becomes available in the off-season (realizing French is an issue and that it is unlikely MB is allowed to hire another coach, so new coach means new GM) anyhoo - go Habs! Let’s get a win!!! Tatar is underrated so his addition is good! Helps push more scoring to all 4 lines again. Frolik has been working hard out there, but he isn’t showing up on the score sheet, and LOTS of his passes seemed to miss the tape to me.

In a way - maybe that 3rd goal will piss them off enough to actually show up for the 3rd period. To be out worked over and over by the Sens is getting old.

What a difference a week makes! Instead of looking over our shoulders, we can root for the Flames and Canucks to win their games tonight and tomorrow against the Jets and Oilers.

I’m blaming the reverse retro jerseys! ever since Feb 4 vs the Sens when our beloved bleu blanc rouge emphasized the BLEU! They conjured up the ghost of hated Maple Leafs past! it was wrong to make blue the primary color. we must now offer a sacrifice.

Perhaps I missed this last game (or a couple of games ago ...) but it interesting and telling to see Perry with the A. He has gone from unemployed to taxi squad to 4th liner to top 9 to A and the season isn’t even over yet. he is an impressive player. Love his game. Brilliant addition that must be paying off more than anyone (re. MB) could have imagined.
