Would love Clarkson.. thought we should've made a move at the trade deadline for him. We would have had his front of net presence to beat Anderson and the Sens in that first round matchup. I've heard that at least (what he's telling the media), MB will not be busy come July 1st with free agents so I'm thinking that Clarkson might end up on another team (fingers crossed, not the Leafs).. and the price tag might be a bit too steep anyways. But after last night's hammer job on Chara, I think Bryan Bickell is that power forward who would be more affordable and who MB should go after.

I think Gally has shown he is too good for the CHL and he needs some real competition. He's got the size and the skill to play with the big club. Love that he's wearing number 27 too.. I think Budaj is still picking up his jockstrap from practice the other day.

I would love to sign Shane Doan. Doan-Plex-Gio would be a serious line, health permitting. Just imagine the knowledge he would drop on our younger forwards, in particular Patch.

Pacioretty-DD-Cole Moen-Plex-Gionta Bourque-Eller-Prust White-Nokia-Armstrong I think if we don't find a top six forward.. Travis plays left wing with Plex & Gionta. He'll stand in front of the net, do the dirty work in the corners and protect his linemates. Not the best option, but it leaves Bourque playing with Eller and that gives him a big shooter to set up and gives us more offense on the 3rd unit. I hope we make a play for Evander Kane though. If we had to trade DD to acquire a guy like Yandle, I'd give Eller a shot at top six minutes. I think he would produce playing with our better scorers. Faceoffs are important though. But I would imagine he's been working on them and will continue to do so throughout training camp and we'll see an improvement this year.

That's why we need to acquire Yandle stat. I think Emelin needs to improve his skating but definitely showed improvement throughout last season dealing with the speed of the NHL. Although, asking top 4 minutes from him is asking a bit too much.

Both Yotes would do wonders for us next season. Patch would learn so much from a power forward like Doan, Yandle would solidify our 2nd power play d pairing... a huge glaring hole there. I hope we could make this happen. I wouldn't be crazy to think Eller could play centre on the 2nd line if DD was traded?
