Big game, why is it a big game? We'll because we're still fighting for position, Ottawa and Toronto both lost on Tuesday, and the habs have a chance to pass them, along with New Jersey...

With a win we officially (basically clinched already) clinch a playoff spot, and we ruin the Sabres chances at the playoffs (slim chance anyways) ...

Well, let's not get to cocky - anything could happen (obviously not Sabres making the playoffs and the Habs not). But we could still lose this game, and two important points. Both Flyers and the Bruins refuse to lose, as it seems. I'd really, really, really hate to have to face Philly in the Eastern quarters.

Buffalo and Montreal are two of the hotest property in the leauge right now. And I could see us lose this one.

We are on pretty solid grounds and Buffalo is hunting that last spot.

I predict that the end up in OT. 2-2.

Montreal goals by Dagenais and Kovalev.

I believe that it will be a tough game, and a good one to watch. But montreal cannot underestimate this team. They're cockiness can kill them if they have it. My guess is a 3-2 win.

montreal goals - kovalev, koivu, ryder

If Sabres win it is because they are hungrier and they are at home, we sound flat but no shame, anyway the third period might be different.

Actually, better we lose a couple or a few now than when the playoffs start. We had points in something like 13 of the last 15 games, that couldn't go on forever!

I'd rather go into the playoffs with a streak of wins than with a streak of losses.

Which seems to be what is happening to the Canucks...

ugh... Not a fun game for the habs so far. We always have trouble winning in Buffalo. Damn JP Dumont, he just loves scoring against his hometown team, as does M.Biron in shutting us out...

Bastards...

But, its not over...

He needs just one more to hit 25 on the season.

Very bad game!......

Hey at least they should be well rested for tomorrow nights game against the Sens!!

Whats up with Souray?? It looked like a wrist/hand injury!...Hopefully its not too serious!...

And after tonights game, I definitely know who should be sitting out on D when the PLayoffs start!.....

QUINTAL, he was beaten wide too many times tonight, and he was by far the slowest player on the ice...He even looked worst then Dagenais..

The lines were Kovalev-Koivu-Zednik & Ryder-Ribeiro-Dagenais & Bulis-Perreault-Sundstrom for the first 2 periods.

Then in the 3rd CJ was sick of what he was seeing and changed everything up:

Perreault-Koivu-Zednik

Ryder-Ribeiro-Kovalev

... forget the other 2, but Dags was down to the 4th line.

And suddenly we got going once the lines switched... and finished the game strong, which hopefully will carry over into tomorrow's game.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Komi might be coming along, but he isn't quite there yet.

His reaction time is still too slow, his decision making time is even slower and sometimes plain wrong.

Like when he decided to go for the big hit at the blueline... left his man open and it's 1-0 Buffalo.

As for Quintal, yes he definitely looked bad tonight... and very very slow.

Somehow the last time he played well was with Souray before Souray got hurt. I was looking forward to seeing if he could get it together again now that Souray is back... but the first 2 games he was back Quintal was being rested agasint NJ, and today Souray lasted only one period.

Quintal definitely concerns me, a lot, especially against quicker teams... he might be ok against bigger teams like Philly or Boston.

But still he scares me.

Then you have Breezer still hurt, and Souray out again tonight.

That extra D man we didn't reach for at the deadline might end up costing us dearly.
