Not Bad.

I wouldn't mind Colton Gillies and Alex Plante. :D Big guys they are.

Also, both are from out West, Gainey/Timmins have a knack for those lately.

Many inconsistencies between the ISS rankings and the NHL's CSB rankings. For example, the CSB rankings place Gillies 30th in terms of North American skaters while ISS puts him 14th.

petrecki would be a solid choice. for all those high risk, high reward lovers, I'd go for esposito.

second shoice. sutter if available or bill sweat. I loved i'm at the wjc.

I'd wait before making any type of comments. There's still a couple of big hockey left to be played. (U-18, Memorial Cup, etc) and lot can change in the meantime.

Lats dropped like a fly after the U-20... big ice, slow skates... you know the rest :)

Where's Kevin Veilleux?

He had an injury that slowed him for the last part of the season.

He is a sleeper there that we can grab in the secound round.

I want no russian that is for sure.

But if Backlund is still there when we draft i would go with him.

If Cherepanov falls due to Russia not signing the transfer agreement, would you be willing to take a chance on him?

as been called off for being lazy, yet uninspired.

besides, with all that happened with russians thi year, I'm sure we'll go north america.

I'd love voracek but he wont be there come our turn.

If we can trade picks and move up in the draft then I'd be happy with selecting Gagner, Kane or Voracek; if not Esposito, Backlund, Gillies; or lower in the order.. I'd love Sutter, O'Brien or Plante.

I've focused on Center and forwards.. but I think that Trevor Timmins will look at picking of D=men at least two more... in this draft.

one thing that strikes me is how small players are in this draft.

Yes but look small players that are performing well in the NHL, they are all in the top 50 in points.

Nobody in there is 6.0 feet and 200 pound. But they are all up in

Gionta

Gomez

Brière

Savard

Cammalleri

Datsyik

Mcdonald

Jason Blake

Straka

Kariya

Koivu

Whitney

So small is not anymore such a big concern, they are looking for talent, what concern me is that the lack of outstanding talent.

Players like Corey Locke would have been ranked top 30 this year.

It's five years later and there is no Locke in the NHL.

I wasn,t saying that small players cant do it and be succesful, I was just surprised by the amount of them.

No Esposito for me. He looks like a bigger Ribeiro, inconstant. It seems like he needed Radu to produce as well.

granted. but how good could he be with a latendresse ??
