And the lineups are not final, Tampa and the Habs both have a few injuries...
Habinator33
Looks like we match up pretty well against them. We definitly have more depth then they do at the 4th line. We can go out and actually put in Key players they got a few guys they can't even play becuase they penalty risks. We gotta keep Langdon and hopefully get Ward back into the lineup becuase Tampa doesn't play very physical and with those two plus Begin and our defense we can bang them around a bit. We were accused of being a team that likes to dive. From what i hear the Tampa defense is cheap in the fact that when they dump the puck they like to turn their backs to the boards to draw a boarding call so just something to look out for if it's true going into this round. Key to this round in my opinion is the goaltending and the 2nd lines. The better 2nd line wins the series. Ribs and Ryder played good now lets just hope this round they can find the bakc of the net and maybe get our powerplay going too. We definitly have a good shot at winning this series but it's going to be tough this team didn't get over 100 points for nothing.
JLP
It would be sweet to get off to a good start here, I don't think my nerves can handle another series like the last one! :ghg::ghg::ghg:
Fanpuck33_
They are definitely a great offensive team, and are no slouches on D and in nets. My roommate has recently become a Bolts fan, so this series should be interesting. I just got a new jersey off ebay, so I will be well prepared to cheer on the Habs. I think we can win, but it won't be easy. They have a lot of weapons to stop. They had what, five 25 goal scorers? A tought matchup, but at least they aren't as physical as Philly or Toronto. :ghg:
Dalhabs
IF we are capable of winning this series the next one could be great. I bet the leafs and the flyers will bash up eachothers quite good in their serie so they will have some injured and bashed up players against us if we advance as well. GO HABS GO
bombTHEice
It's true that the Bolts had more than 100 points, but that was the regular season. They don't play very physical and there the HABS have definetly the edge (I hope that they have it ). And Cullimore is also injured, he is one of the more physical players for the Bolts. Hopefully Ward will be back soon, he really impressed me for the last couple of months ... I always thought that he would have an AHL career, but he gladly proved me wrong. Stillman is also out, he is an important part of their powerplay. But despite that injuries, it will be a tough series for the HABS. Anyways, I say 4-1 HABS. :hlogo:
Leafs Suck
Habs have the advantage on special teams Theodore is better than Khabibulin Defense's are both strong. Hard to see an advantage, espically with the way Kid K played. Upfront Tampa has more spectacular forwards, ie St.Louis, LeCavalier, Richards, but the Habs have better depth. I see no reason why the Habs can't win the series.
TruthMonger
I think we can compete, but here are my concerns: TB had five 25-goal scorers while we had two. TB's top four point getters had more points than anyone on the Habs. You'd think a small scoring forward like St. Louis would be a defensive liability but he was a +35 for the year. They had five guys with a +/- of better than +20, while we had none. We don't have a special teams edge. Our PP was 1 percentage point better than theirs, but their PK was 2.4 points better than ours. TB failed to collect a point (i.e. regulation loss) only 7 times in their final 42 games of the year. All this aside, we have a surging Russian, an inspired Finn, and a edge in goal. I'm betting Habs.

Leafs Suck
Now does anyone know who is calling the game on CBC? Is it the same idiots from the first round? or is Healy finally assigned to the Leaf seris?
Bonavistaman11
Stillman is out as well, this takes alot from their second line!!!... im really liking our chances! :ghg:
Bonavistaman11
I would say we'll have the same idiots as in the first round!....haha... Bob Cole and Harry Neale are always with the Leafs.. Chris Cuthbert who i think is CBC's best anouncer, will likely stay with Calgary seeing he's almost always with the Western Teams! :ghg::ghg:

Prime Minister Koivu
The one thing that scares me is the odd man rushes. Habs gave up too many against boston and with the firepower TB has, it could hurt us. We have the grit/checking/hitting edge, no question. we put some good effort in these ereas against boston. Begin was awesome and Komi is scary. Offence.....I think we have the edge there too. Look at our top line. From there down we just begin to show our depth. All lines can score....Dowd impressed me alot with his offensive play. I think defence is pretty even. I think most of our D can keep up with the TB speed. Goaltending.....Draw Habs in six :ghg:
