jetsniper
Malkin apparently got a bigger offer (15 mil a season) but neither player seems all that interested in going over to Russia.
Dalhabs
They were trying to force malkin to stay even though he wanted to go to the NHL. Now they expect him to want to come back? I think its the same with Jagr. He knows the NHL will treat him better.
Pierre the Great
Russians are throwing around a bunch of money because they have so much they don't know what to do with it. You can see a movie in Moscow for 2,000 dollars. Which includes, all you can eat food with a server, a big lazy boy chair and something else. lol

kenadian
Or they know people over there (reporters etc.) who start these "stories" and use them as a bargining chip...... wasn't there an "offer" to one of the Kotisyn bros that turned out to be an inflated number? ch_nl
This must make Jagr the best paid player ever if you look at his whole career. He made 8,3 in New York, had for the time the maximum in Washington. Don't know what he made in Pittsburgh...
Habsfan84
So he went. Lets just hope more dont follow him over there.
