Jaysix
Put Kosto and Lapierre in the PP !!!
huzer
I'm kinda wondering why Laps never made it on during the PP. Go with the hot hand, sheesh!
brobin
Decent PP.. but the leafs played the body in front.. while our D watches there guys in our crease.. that is the difference..
JLP
keep this up and we win this one
bar
IF we start playing better after this, I think we need to buy Laps a nice steak dinner!
Jaysix
At least we'll have an entertaining 3rd period. Should be fun !

nhfarber
Glad to see Lapierre getting an opportunity on an offensive line. Maybe this kid just has a bit more potential than anyone realized, he certainly is playing like he wants it, and that line with higgins and tanguay was really clicking there at the end of the period. bar
Can you imagine the dressing room... "So strat in the third period is, Laps you're triple shifting on all the lines"
rafikz
I'm kinda wondering why Laps never made it on during the PP. Go with the hot hand, sheesh! Carbo did that when Lapierre started scoring on a regular basis
KoZed
Carbo did that when Lapierre started scoring on a regular basis ... and then people started whining why he wasnt putting his best players on the PP...
tokyohabs
Better. Lapierre is doing everything for the team, emotionally and on the ice, forcing Gainey to change up, making a difference. That said, nervous every time the Laffs bear down on us and you can see the d cringe, wishing they would go away. however, when we sustain pressure like that it's amazing how much better we look, especially because we're not floundering in our own zone. Like what we did on that pp, Kovalev more of a threat. Schneider should still bomb a way more from the point though. How about Metropolit losing the faceoff to Blake, wow Bob, of you wanted another Smolinski should have re-signed Smolinski! And of course Lapierre won the next draw clean as a whistle... Big task ahead, need three, any way to get the 2 points, maybe we can. Should be fresh out there after taking the fist 30 minutes to warm up. brobin
Carbo did that when Lapierre started scoring on a regular basis You mean that dumb coach who should have always had AK and Koivu on all PPs instead of that grinder...
KoZed
Gotta be glad Bob decided to shuffle his lines. Laps & Tangs seems to have instant chemistry. With Higgins they make for a very speedy line. Patches-Plex-Kosty also need to get something going too. Laraque-Koivu-Kovalev together are the 3 Adios: all 3 cant skate, are liabilities 5-on-5 and will be gone this summer. tokyohabs
KoZed, what is that hilarious Lapierre tribute at the bottom of your page?? Fantastic pics!
KoZed
Better. Lapierre is doing everything for the team, emotionally and on the ice, Maybe he can coach too. He speaks French.
tokyohabs
Yeah, in 20 years. Then when Kovalev's grandson whines about him, we can throw him under the bus too.
KoZed
KoZed, what is that hilarious Lapierre tribute at the bottom of your page?? Fantastic pics! Hehe, was doing that between the 1st and 2nd... celebrating a goal in front of Lucic, beating up Talbot, celebrating a goal with Crosby look dejected and getting in some Flyers' face. Not too shabby! KoZed
what's important is that Halak closes the door in the 3rd. If the Habs want to open the game up and take (even more) risks, they need to have the goalie keep them in it.
nhfarber
hypothetical... would francophone's in Quebec be more willing to accept a non-french speaking head coach, if the captain was a francophone (lapierre?). just curious to hear some thoughts on that... Hmm doubt it would work anyway. The coach speaks to the press more than the Premier. He has to explain himself every day. Captain doesnt need to address the medias that much, if at all. Pacioretty-Koivu-Latendresse? WHY A PENALTY??? Lats pastes a Leafs and gets a high-stick penalty... ugh. KILL IT!
brobin
Refs getting worried... what a BS call.. hope we got a shortie here...
