JoeLassister
Simply so you wont have to eat crow when Pateryn becomes a NHLer? Dont think that is a good enough reason for Bergevin to trade him. I wish him to become an NHLer... just not with the Habs.
DON
Don't get your dislike of him as a player? And all you have ever said was (numerous times) that he wont become a NHLer. Why him specifically and not a Thrower/Dietz/Bennett/Lernout/Didier? Just curious Joe?
BCHabnut
I don't think anyone doubted nate's future as an nhler. I think they were questioning why the team would rush him in if he didn't appear ready. Several games later, the gonch experiment started to pay off. I have no doubt now that n8 has seen the last of the ahl. In fact, if he and Gilbert can continue playing as they do, this team will be darned good and balanced on defense. The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Yep, Nate's emergence is an important development. Factor in Gonchar, whose mostly savvy play has been a pleasant surprise, and our D is significantly better than last year. Too bad about Emelin's injury, though. Pateryn, not really against him, more about the fact that I don't see any more into him than what we have right now. I think his ceilings are already reached. Number 8 dman in my mind. I wish he'll prove me wrong. But I'd prefer to move him in a package for an upgrade on D or RW...
