Guest Stogey24
It says ZERO about the coach, Lars has ALWAYS had numbers like that. Your last line is spot on Doubt Lars is back next year
hab29RETIRED
DSP: 23 points in 56 games Eller: 22 points in 72 games If Eller got moved he'd probably be producing more as well.
Machine of Loving Grace
It says ZERO about the coach, Lars has ALWAYS had numbers like that. Your last line is spot on To understand Lars Eller you have to look at his splits. In the month of January, he had 3 points in 11 games. Take the last three seasons, Eller has accumulated 5 points in 35 games in the month of January. Since 2011-2012, Eller has always had one month where he does really good that sets his player expectations through the roof. In 11-12 he had 6 goals, 8 points in 11 games in January. In 12-13 he had 13 points in 14 games in April. In 13-14 he had 5 goals, 9 points in 13 games in October. In 14-15 he had 6 goals, 8 points in 14 games in November. This season is the first since his rookie 2010-11 year he didn't have one hot month and his point totals were spread out (which I prefer over the one hot month and a bunch of cold ones), which couldn't come at a worse time since he got Galchenyuk either as his centre or on his wing for a significant chunk of the season. Eller has always been an average player that has hoodwinked fans into thinking he could be more.

Eller has always been an average player that has hoodwinked fans into thinking he could be more. No question. I've always said - Eller is Benoit Brunet, another bottom-6 player who would go on mini-tears every once in a while where you'd swear he had top-6 skills. But those tears were the exception rather than the rule. This is not to deny that he is a serviceable bottom-6 forward. It's these fans with their mystical belief that he is just about to break out that strike me as deluded.
DON
Is it just me or have we held onto exactly the 22nd spot for a solid month Seemingly destined for 9th pick, unless arizona and or Sabres go on a tear to finish the season.
Commandant
Arizona is only 1 point behind, so i don't know if they need to go on a tear.... but it would be nice to see Buffalo and Calgary get hot.
