Yikes Good character play by Shaw there With the exception of those 2-3 minutes where the Habs were stuck in their zone, I've like the speed our boys have shown out there. Not perfect, but much better than the past 6-7 games! Quote

Ideally, they need at least one center. A number two D man, too. Then, there are only 4 teams in the league with only 1 player over 14 goals. So there's scoring. They suck at faceoffs and the penalty kill, so a specialist like Manny Malhotra wouldn't hurt. So, three big pieces and a biscuit? Most contenders are looking for "the final piece." Quote
Scott462 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Man Chucky.... Like 4 terrible plays in a row Quote
Habsfan Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 What a crazy overtime period!!! Once again Pleky can't put it in the net and CAREY MAKES THE SAVE OF THE NIGHT! Quote

Toronthab Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Whewee! what a save at the end from Scarey Carey! How'd you like to have to go one on one wid dat guy! 1 Quote
Scott462 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I'm hoping Chucky can break out of his trance you just know he has it in him. Hopefully Julien let's him recover, he almost blew this game on several occasions. Same with Beaulieu Quote
habs rule Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Some how I get the feeling that Carey did not like Le Genius. Le Genius was a player killer. Quote

Emelin is behind on everything. He needs out of there for atleast a bit That's fair. I'm not a big Beaulieu fan. Basically, I don't like low IQ players and I would put Beaulieu in that category. He has the skill to be a quality top four player but his head is holding him back (and I don't think it's going to change either). There are bad plays and there are stupid plays. Both Beaulieu and Petry have struggled as of late but I'd put a lot of Petry's mistakes in the first category (he's prone to a panicked decision in particular) and quite a few of Beaulieu's in the second one. Short-term, I think Markov has to be tried there even though that's far from ideal on a long-term basis. He's not quick by any stretch but he's smart and that should take some of the pressure off of Weber. The question then becomes how to manage his special teams minutes to avoid him playing 22+ minutes a game. Quote
THE Bobby Orr Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Byron took a high hard one at Price during warmup...Price plays his best game of the season and Byron nets the winner...maybe they should start a new superstition ....just saying Quote

I was thinking earlier in the year that our D would be scary.. in a nice way. Quote

Price gets hurt we are dead, maybe byron could take the high hard one while Carey is still in the dressing room. Low fives are ok but the guy who started that seems to be missing from the roster.
