... and because they were definitely not what I was expecting.

Shots/60 minutes 5-on-5:

  1. Gallagher 9.45
  2. Lehkonen 8.82
  3. Caufield 8.52
  4. Pezzetta 8.40
  5. Anderson 8.19

Suzuki is at only 5.36, which helps to explain his low scoring total.

Goals/60 minutes 5-on-5:

  1. Pezzetta (!) 1.12
  2. Dvorak 0.83
  3. Drouin 0.81
  4. Poehling 0.77
  5. Evans 0.69

Perreault would rank high due to his hat trick but I set a 200-minute minimum

Points/60 minutes 5-on-5:

  1. Drouin 2.17
  2. Lehkonen 2.00
  3. Pezzetta 1.68
  4. Anderson 1.48
  5. Dvorak 1.38

There is no question that Drouin is producing, at least relative to the other forwards. He may go hot and cold -- all players do to some extent, but maybe he is worse -- but his averages are better than anyone else.

And by these metric Dvorak really doesn't look that terrible.

I find these interesting.

something that jumps out to me and is supported by team’s lack of success is that there are very few repeated names, none of the top 5 shots and also in top 5 goals.

There are very few names showing up on more than one list, given the three categories one would expect more overlap.

The eye test supports this in my perspective.

Gally takes a ton of low percentage shots (aside from his crease play).

Lehkonen does as well but I am a little surprised he hits the net enough to be second.

Caufield is generally a shoot first mentality and that is as it should be.

Happy to see Anderson made it (as he should be a shot generator) and think his goal total will rise if he stays on a consistent line.  I am surprised Toffolli is not on top 5  as he shoots a lot based on eye test, and Hoffman as well.

interesting results indeed, thx for sharing.

Good to be reminded how productive JoDro can be, I was starting to forget about him/get a little sour that he is so hit/miss and has become a liability with the myriad of health issues, wish him the best personally but from a team perspective it is hard to see better times ahead. Another year at 5.5 and then what? Hard to believe there will be takers if he makes it back this year before deadline.

The absence of Armia on these list speaks volumes to me as well, a little less so about Suzuki but… maybe a little.

Drouin currently on a 50-point pace.

It is amazing how far expectations have fallen for him, such that that is hailed as a very fine outcome indeed.

It’s a big problem that Slick Nick is not on these lists.

No doubt, after the Sergachev trade it was hoped he would be the young French superstar the Habs needed. Now we seem to be quite happy with his 15 goal, 50 point pace.

Suzuki with 25pts  tied for130th in scoring

Toffolli with 23pts  tied for 152nd

Anderson leads team in goals with 9 tied for 144th in NHL

Will they get a #1 pick for 1st time in 42years and will he be a game changer?

Elite 1st team all-star offensive player is what they have not had for a 'couple' years.
