Pierre the Great
Hmmm. I actually want to see it too but hence my location makes it hard see it, since I'm a long days drive to Windsor.
Mr. Nasty
I try as hard as possible to avoid Canadian films...they always suck. I am a movie fanatic so I am a bit biased.
Pierre the Great
where's your pride Mr. Nasty? They may be bad but atleast they are trying. I'd show up anyway and just support them because the more revenue the better the films get.
Mr. Nasty
yeah, I know...I am working on it. I will give them the 'mockumentaries'. They are good at those. I will say that we do make the occasional good television show too.
Pierre the Great
Yeah I love to watch the reruns of Da Vinci's Inquest on WGN. I remember edgemont and occaisonally watch de grassi. I could watch Whistler saw one episode thought it was okay. I've heard that North of 60 was really good.

Tony
I'm like Nasty on this one, not big on Canadian movies. Same goes for movies that are made in Quebec. Bon cop, bad cop does look interesting
jetsniper
Me too really with just about anything like that made in Canada. Nothing to do with national pride, I just don't like watching bad movies. Besides, it's a source for Canadian comedians. =D
KoZed
I'll glady watch any movie with Lucie Laurier in it: http://www.cyberpresse.ca/apps/pbcs.dll/mi...2F608040365%2F0 As for Canadian films being bad or good... A few are actually quite good, better than your run-of-the-mill Hollywood junk cinema. Thing is (sorry to say so) but most good Canadian films come out of Quebec and are in french. If you can, watch these one of these days: C.R.A.Z.Y. Maurice Richard Les Invasions Barbares La Grande Seduction Maelstrom Hochelaga Histoire de Pen Les Boys (1 to 4) Un crabe dans la tête Québec-Montréal Horloge biologique Le violon rouge They're all good, recent, above-average movies. Unless you suffer from A.D.D. you should enjoy them.

KoZed
The movie just beat the Quebec record for a week-end opening. Its top 20 overall in North-America. From what I hear, Louis-José House steals the show.

JLP
saw it -- mom didn't like it, I did -- can't see 5 mins of a Quebecois explaining "tabarnak" to a Torontonian in any Japanese moviehouse. Lots of hockey in the plot as well, worth a look I think.
