<u>Habs Projected Lineup</u>

<font color=red>Bulis - Koivu - Ryder

Perreault - Begin - Langdon

Souray - Quintal

Markov - Brisebois

Dykhuis - Rivet</font color>

Theodore

Scratched: Komisarek , Kilger , Bouillon (personal reasons)

<font color=red>RED</font color> = OFFENSE!

I saw on RDS that Perreault might be back in the lineup tomorrow , but who knows. Again the habs have no excuse to lose this game , and should easily win.

I hope that Dykhuis will play and that the reason is that someone is intrested.

Habs are paying this guy 1.7 million dollars to play and what is he doing in Hamilton?

I remembered when we got Dykhuis that I tought that it was pretty good to bring a solid blueliner.

I mean he was a part of the team that made it all the way to the finals versus Detroit in 96.

But right now, all I see is a useless body. Maybe he can teach something to the prospects in Hamilton but I think that there's better options that costs less then 1.7 million.

I really hope Dykhuis plays... Bouillon is gone to attend a funeral, he'll be back any day now... so this is the chance to play him.

Plus with the All-Star break, and the GM meetings, in a couple of days no better time to show him in a good light... especially against the Pens.

If Komi plays... it's a mistake, a lost opportunity anyway.

2-0 after 3 minutes... oh my

Even Langon is having his way with poor Buchberger who's trying to wake up his team.

It's a wonder they have ANY fans still showing up for games in Pittsburgh, truly. At least our Spos are competitive, and we still don't go to games.

Too easy a game is not good preparation for a key NYI game before the break... we remember how well those NYI games just before the break have gone the last few years don't we?

And Dykhuis isn't playing... too bad, lost opportunity to show him off.

Although his agent has said there have been teams who've expressed interest already... the only problem his the silly contract AS gave him.

1.6M next year. The team would have to eat some, and Dykhuis would have to eat some on top of that.

Either that, or we buy him out next year.

The good part of this sudden turnaround is that it makes things more interesting than a blowout.

Also, it happened so early in the game that the Habs have ample time to recover.

And with Souray & Bouillon out... Komi should see some good icetime, as well as Markov who needs to get going at some point.

Is it too late to dress Dykhuis? ;)

A bit of a scare for sure, expecially when we were down 3-2. I almost jinxed us on this night guys, i missed the first 4 minutes and we were up 2-0 of course. When it was 3-2 for the Pens i contemplated turning off the TV, but i watched to the end anyway, and we got a win.

2 points is 2 points, as Habs77 said, it should keep us focused going into the next one against the Isles.

A win is a win , even if we did not play our best game... again. We'll take the 2 points and move onto the Islanders game , which is the biggest game of the season , actually at this point the next game is ALWAYS the biggest game.

Hopefully the habs will be healthy and have a full lineup for the Thursday game , Begin is nursing a sore foot , Langdon a sore hand... Souray might be suspended for fighting with tape on his knuckles...

Interesting stat : Souray has scored almost 1/3 of his points this season against the Penguins (10/34)

I agree with other posters. It's nice we got 2 important points, but we should not be satisfied at all. We got a dream start and then gave it up and with some luck we still managed to run away with the points. This is not going to work against better teams.

The game against the Isles is a good test for us. If we want to win that game we definitely have to play 100% the whole game, cause it will not be easy.

And the Souray thing, it's good to see that him step up for Koivu, but unfortunately it's not a good thing he's doing it. He's a way to important player to get game misconducts every other game. The other teams know it too, and they will try to get him into fights. So Souray has to calm down and other players have to step up and do the job.

I think it's going to be a great game against the Isles and it's a shame I can't watch it.

:ghg:

We can do it!

Two wins that felt like losses. Over 40 shots against vs Chicago and over 30 vs Pittsburgh.

Anyone else nervous about this Islanders game? Yeah, it sucks it's not on TV. Of course, every meeting with Pittsburgh and Washingon has been on Sportsnet and TSN. :?-

Its on RDS ,

Just buy a dish or digital cable and suscribe to RDS. Its not that pricey really...

The habs have the best TV coverage in the NHL , yet I always hear our fans complaining about it (Not directed at you --CH-- , I just feel like going off on a rant). Habs are the only team in the NHL who has every one of its games broadcasted across Canada without blackouts (because RDS is french , games are not blocked out in other teams regions). Also remember that all our Saturday games are simulcasted on SRC , and CBC occasionally picks up a few of the games... Then on top of that you have Sportsnet which covers the Canadiens regionally , and TSN who broadcasts around 5-10 Habs games nationally each year.

No one compares to that.

BTW : Another beef I have. Why would anyone watch a habs game on TSN or Sportsnet instead of RDS? Learn the freaking language if you dont understand it! Why would anyone let themselves suffer through the crap on TSN and Sportsnet? ...

And besides , who watches hockey for the play by play and colour commentators? If you cant enjoy the game of hockey without 2 morons yelling in your ear , then you shouldnt be watching the sport. Remember when the SRC union went on strike and the games were broadcasted without commentary? That was some of the best televised hockey I've ever watched.

</beef>

No dish for me, I just have the Center Ice package on digital cable here. If I felt motivated enough, I'd get a dish and watch the games on RDS. I used to listen to the games on French radio way back when, when I still lived in NY. Although, when Dick Irvin did radio broadcasts, that was always my first choice. :)

And as far as people complaining about the sportscasters themselves...I pretty much dislike every single one, from ANY team that I have had the misery of watching. Seems all that FoxSportsNet in the states just hired whatever schmuck knew the directions to the interview that day.
