  1. Is it possible that, through all the controversy and complaint, Therrien has done one thing extremely well: The Habs seem to be in better *condition* than most of the rest of the league. How else to explain the team consistently getting better as each game progresses? How they seem to do quite well in back-to-backs? As I see it, this is a well-conditioned team.

  2. Maybe Le Genius really has a plan, he is just not telling anyone. We start slow, get better in the 2nd and roar in the 3rd. This means that teams coming to play us know they need 3 goals in the first, otherwise the odds are we win. It has to be very difficult knowing that you just outplayed the Habs by a big margin in the 1st, and you are tied or up by 1. You know that Le Genius is going to go wake the boys up and send them out to play properly in the 2nd and it will get worse in the 3rd. I think he is playing with their heads, how can they get excited about knowing the odds are you are going to lose. You just played a hell of a period and you know the odds are against you. That is what Carey Price provides. He can destroy a teams confidence all by himself. This will work very well in the playoffs, as teams will be afraid to play us. We never give up and we only get better. That is not a bad plan. A little dangerous always taking the first period off but who can argue with the results.

  3. Yup. You would think Cynics must almost be running out of stuff to continuously whine about. That lil centre is doing quite well and nice 2nd effort on goal.

  5. Oh gawd please never Kessel. Dressing room cancer if it's to be believed, and if you look at his body language and the way he acts on the bench, it gives a pretty clear indication that he's *apart.* I don't care how many goals he could score, I think he'd be more of a disruption to a team that has a very tight dressing room. Why take the chance that he could rip it apart? No no a thousand times no.

  6. We have a Top 10 LW, Top 5 D and Top 3 Goalie. At center we have a Top 30 center in Plekanec in that defensively he's one of the best centers in the game but offensively he's at the weak end of the Top 30. Desharnais is again at the weak end of the Top 30 offensively but he still produces at a top six center clip. It's not ideal. Nobody is arguing that it isn't. But until Galchenyuk develops into that #1 center, rolling with two players more ideal for second line C hasn't held us back from making the Eastern Conference finals.

  7. Eller gets ripped because some fans overrate him because of a handful of playoff games while he's cold as ice for 75-85 games a year. His goal on Saturday was his first in fourteen games. DD would be run out on a rail with that production. It's about time DD got noticed by the league for his brand of never-say-die playmaking. I expect those in charge of Hockey Canada will soon take notice when they assemble their World Cup of Hockey team.

  8. It's not his fault he might be miscast as a first liner. My point was that he brings great value to the team for what he is getting paid.

  9. ya like that word hate dont ya. DD is a fine number three center..............problem for the canadiens is he is THEIR first line center. That has always been my knock (on my habs and dd) that they need a true number one center to win a cup. Which DD is not. He is a talented, little, non physical, play maker. Who has performed poorly in every play off he has been involved in.

  14. Oh well thats good. Con Smtythe consideration for only playing like a little girl the last two games of the play offs. Lemme guess he made up for it in October. byw....he was invisible in game 6 last year in new york. not surprisingly because he was a non factor most of the series as well as a minus player as per usual in spring. When pleks delivers in the play offs in a big way i will eat my words. If he does not i will listen quietly to the excuses from the TP fan club.
