It was touched on briefly within CC’s recent post but I think the key tonight is Carey Price. I find it hard to believe that the Habs won’t play well, and they’ve already outplayed Tanpa within the series but if Price isn’t outstanding, it may be all for naught.

It’s not a big deal at this point and I had no expectations that he would be in the lineup, but it is quite surprising that Tatar wasn’t used at any point after he was removed from the lineup. That guy was our leading scorer before the new blood came in. (yes, I know about his playoff reputation)

My interpretation is that he meant the Pacioretty thing in a negative way. In terms of his streakiness. I on the other hand would be thankful if Anderson was anything near what Pacioretty was and is. They are different players though, as some like Anderson due to his intangibles and physicality. Whereas Pacioretty was accused of being a perimeter player who shied away from laying the body or cutting into the tough areas of the ice. Anyway, I want to like Anderson and do enjoy what he brings but I wasn’t a fan of the move and salary at the time. Of course, the move turned out to be solid, but the salary is another question. All is well though as I am genuinely someone who rarely frets about cap issues.

Sorry if it’s me, but I’m bringing out the reverse retro now, and hopefully for the rest of this run. (for the first time since games 5-7 versus the Leafs)

I haven’t been terrified most of this run. There were a few anxious moments here and there vs Vegas but I have not been “terrified” since round 1 vs the Leafs. The team feels like a playoff team and instills a lot of confidence when I watch them. I usually get nervous all the time during the playoffs but so far not so much. I do expect there to be some of those “moments” versus Tampa, however.

Meh, I was one of the biggest Pacioretty supporters around but the booing doesn’t bother me at all either. I agree that it’s somewhat of an acknowledgement that he is a player worth paying attention to on the other team. As for the captaincy discussion that’s a whole other topic but I was happy with him wearing the “C”. Maybe not so much a prototypical leader but he was our Elite player, and it would still be nice to have a player with his scoring ability on the team. Here’s to hoping Caufield has a successful tenure.

Considering it’s still Chris Lee, I don’t expect anything different in regards to the officiating.
