This team has never replace Markov and it shows how good and under rated he was.

It will never happen under Bergevin. When has Bergevin ever tried for a better lottery pick when he's teams were out of the playoffs? Never he's ego won't allow him to give up on his team's. He just use's the same old excuses every year I will not make a trade just to make a trade I will not make a panic trade Injuries are out of my control Players don't play up to there potential It's all between their ears I did my job it's up to the players I believe in this team and believe this is a playoff team Did I miss anything???? It's kept him employed for 8 years.

That was the same problem in the Stanley cup finals and was never address in the off season.

Well every year we come out of the gates strong but tail off at seasons end. Maybe we're just trying the opposite this year🤔start slow end strong💪💪

First time watching a full game my takes on it is this The players look lost playing the defensive system. A lot of missed coverage. What happen to that aggressive D from the first 8 games of the season last year? They hit everything, created turn overs, push the offense which generated goals. This system that is in place just doesn't seem to suit these players.

Missed the game tonight busy day at work, how did the new lines look. By the score it looks like the new lines worked well.

The D coverage on this team is horrible.

Cammy trade wasn't Gainey, it was Gauthier and cunneyworth was also gauthier

Gainey was good at drafting and developing players, under him the AHL team won a championship. But Bob was bad at trades and UFA signings. Bergevin is bad at drafting and developing players, but good at trades and decent at UFA signings. We just need to find a GM who's good at all those things lol. Also I do believe it's time to part ways with Timmins, don't know how the guy has lasted this long in this organization.

The down fall under Bergevin will be lack of development regarding young players.

I agree but Gainey did a full 5 year rebuild which in that time frame drafting Price Pacioretty Gallagher Subban Which was the core group Bergevin was given. Bergevin turned that into Anderson Suzuki Dvorak Toffoli Caufield Weber The big difference is under Gainey we made the playoffs regularly. Under Bergevin we seem to always miss the playoffs except for the last 2 years which he was basically given a playoff spot. My honest opinion the only reason Bergevin still has a job is because of the fact he's from Montreal. On any other team he would of been fired 3 years ago. This organization needs a full house cleaning in order for things to change.

I think he has made it a better team Anderson Caufield Toffoli Hoffman Dvorak Suzuki Much better talent then just Pacioretty Gallagher Subban That he got when taking over. The problem is they never look to add more depth and look at older vets replacements. When they let Markov go, we have yet to find his replacement. Now with Weber most likely gone and Price in a few years we haven't look to draft their replacements. This is what the team will be like once Price retire's, so get use to it. Their is too much two way players and not enough Playmakers especially on the D side of things.

From the highlights that I've been seeing Wideman looks like the only stand out on D so far. We need some Playmakers on D, to many two way players.

Wow 4 - 0 are they playing that bad. Things just died down at work so able to actually watch some of the game. Seems like when ever theirs a habs game on it gets busy here at work.

Lol when have the habs tried for a better pick...... 13-18 will be our pick once again. Just show's how much Price has been carrying this team all these years.

With rumors of Weber having to retire do to his injury, I thought we need a Weber appreciation post. The last 2 years he has played with a high amount of pain and for that i give him all the respect in the world. It just sucks that Bergevin wasted 3 good years of Weber playoff hockey with a retool instead of trying to put a contender on the ice. He will be missed on the back end and you can noticed it already. Best of luck Weber and if he wants to get into coaching I hope the habs bring him back in a coaching roll.

This is why they couldn't match Kotkaniemi offer sheet. If they did Suzuki contract would of been way more money. Still might be an over payment on him but we should see.

I think all the expansion draft drama had a toll on him and broke him down. But I'm glad for him asking for help. If he tried to play with his mind not in it, could of made things worse. So good on him.

We need center and d depth and their adding a gaoldtender . Who's the top pick in this year's draft🤔
