Habsfan
I thikn we will need a miracle tonight! I'm gonna pray! that's how bad I want our boys to win this ######ing game!
kenadian
I'd say it's party due to the late start........I know Ottawa had to wait too; but I think when your the home team you get into a pregame ritual/routine and it's out of whack. brobin
Those two goals were not Huet's fault but he doesn't look right. Call it shaky, call it whatever you want but he looks out to lunch tonight. I don't agree. the only time he looked shakey to me was his little foray into no mans land, and he does that on his best nights. I think what you are seeing is the fact that Huet is not getting the support Gerber is. When the D take away passes and keep people to the outside, a goalie can play the angle and make it look easy. (Gerber is having it easy in comparison). Huet has to play deep tonight as the shots are coming from all over.
kenadian
Didn't we have a poor game when Boom-Boom's number went up as well?
brobin
I really can't comment on the goals, cuz I have yet to see them, but sometimes a goalie has gotta make a "big save" you know stop one that shouldn't have been stopped, goalies do it enough to us. Huet has been great for the most part this season, but it seems like he just goes into these mini slumps frequently where he can't make the Big save. imo, Huet has made a few of those saves already. Ottawa has had at least 5 sure goal chances and got two...
brobin
Yikes, Begin just bent his leg in a dangerous way... on the way to the locker room. Edited November 20, 2007 by brobin
brobin
Finally.. a PP goal... Lats got one... not pretty, but solid work effort!
RobRock
I think that was the most inept-looking power play goal I've ever seen, but I'll take it.

Athlétique.Canadien
Good second effort Latendresse. It handcuffed Gerber and his D got the assist. We're back in it. Get a boost from this goal! :hlogo:
KoZed
Ugly goal. That's what we needed. A proof that a 2nd effort can get the job done. Lats got it thanks to his strength (forcing on his backhand to beat Schubert). Now its a 1-goal game and the momentum's on the Habs side. Habsfan
Nice to see Gui give that second effort to get the goal!
brobin
Begin back and hitting.... good news! Now Komi down, but its just a flesh wound.
brobin
3rd goal to the man all alone in front of huet, pass from behind the net. They have to start taking the man in front.. sheesh...
KoZed
Bleah. Nothing Huet could really do on that Heatley goal. Bang bang... Dandy missed the cover you could argue.
CBHabs_fan
God I hate Ottawa...probably worse than the Leafs now.

brobin
Well, Ottawa is the benchmark. Forget the Toronto game, Ottawa never showed up. The Habs have made good progress this year but if anyone was under the illusion that we are in the same class as Ottawa, check our record against them. We can beat them when they don't play well. We can beat them when we play awesome and get lucky. On average, they will beat us. they are a way better team right now.
KoZed
The biggest star tonight is probably Chris Phillips. He's doing an incredible job shutting down Kovalev. Usually Kovy will overpower any D-man along the boards but tonight Phillips has his number. Ottawa's got a tough D to play against. Redden, Mezjaros, Phillips, Volchenkov... brobin
We need to keep something in mind. Ottawa has a lot of depth. Sheesh, Neil is their Begin and look at what he can do. On top of that depth, they have Heatley, Spezza, and Alfredson. IMO, any one of those guys would be our top player (over Koivu).
Dirty Harry
All three of Ottawa's goals were by guys sitting in the crease shooting turkeys. Teh habs really need to improve their coverage in front of the net. This was the cause of most goals against versus Buffalo and Boston too. It's the centre's job to pick up the extra guy in front that the dman cant cover.
Cataclaw
Habs need a miracle now. It's not over till it's over, so keep your heads high. Let's hope the memory of #19 instills some vigor in the Habs for the last 20 minutes.
lazy26
Lats always seems to get the worse goals against Gerber lol.
sbhatt
Ottawa is clearly the better team...but the Habs have no choice but to steal some points from them over the course of the season. Can't afford to go 0-8 against them!!!
