Pleks has to bury that. He screwed that up, not Miller stoning him, he just has to put that upstairs.

As for the Ennis call they make that every time when you break the stick.... and they had just missed a trip on Desharnais behind the net 30 seconds before.

Yeah Pleks just fanned on it for a second I thought he got it off the ground and Miller gloved it, Ennis didn't touch the stick from what I saw, not that I am complaining.

That was quite the impressive goal for sure but what a demoralizing way to end the period. To dominate for all but a handful of minutes and be trailing. There's lots of positives in this one but it'd be nice to have a positive on the scoreboard before the night is out.

I missed who caused that icing, but DD is probably the worst C at faceoffs in the league. Too bad that with all that good effort for 39 3/4 minutes, and they're down 2-1. They really needed Pleky to bury that blown chance at the open net. I hope they can keep the effort level up and they should still be able to tie up the game.

The stats that catch my eye through 2:

- Engqvist 1/6 in faceoffs - he was a specialist in Hamilton, what gives?

- Emelin with 6 hits to lead all players.

- For once, it isn't Gorges leading the team in shots - it's Diaz so far.

- Weber is second in Habs' ice time from a defenceman, a little more than a minute behind Subban.

At this point if Montreal closes out the game playing like this and loses I will not be disapointed. They are playing great. The DD line is going to make coaches choose where to put their shutdown guys. Price needs to round into form.
