l.moustakas
Haven't posted in a while and now I am doing so only for shameless self-promo. Our preview is online at http://habsworld.net/article.php?id=2632 The Habs really need to try to exploit Ottawa's lack of defensive composure. Most penalized team in the league, one of the worst PKs and also in the top 5 or 6 in giveaways.

JoeLassister
Same lines at practice for 5 straight days... Might be the longest ever that we've seen Martin keeps his lines together
Commandant
Sens have the leagues best PP so far good work by all the PKers to not get them set up on that first kill.
Colin
Team looks nicely under control. There's support over most of the ice, and defensive errors have been easily smothered by a teammate. From the red line back to Price, Montreal looks like a very good unit. In the attacking half, we're okay, but we take no chances and don't attack the net as much as I'd like to see. Eller has been pleasing so far. And just as I say that, we attack the net well.

Colin
The attack has to be more opportunistic and start burying some of these chances. It was a solid period, but not a great period.
Commandant
sure would be nice to have a top goal scorer like Toronto... Classic case of unsustainable production levels. As a team they are shooting 12.9%... or in other words, opponents goalies have an 871 save percentage against the leafs. Numbers that quite simply will regress to the mean... staying at such a level is near impossible for 82 games. With the number of 1 goal games they win... expect a big fall. illWill
Well that was an uneventful period of hockey.

Kessel will outscore every hab on this team (unless he gets injured). McArthur has shown he can also produce. I don't expect the leafs to keep up this pace, but they have more offense then than the habs and that has translated into points. The habs have played too many solid games or periods with nothing to show for it, resulting in a loss.
brobin
lol, apparently its "Lars Eller night" on TSN. They just keep rambling about him like he is the next Crosby..
Colin
We have to start taking advantage of these turnovers. The longer this goes without us potting, the more chance they'll get one on the break, against the run of play, and our confidence will take a huge hit. Switch him and Cammalleri, and Cammalleri's point totals go up, and Kessel's drop. I don't thin that Kessel and MacArthur scoring points leads to more wins though, so let them have their points. Every player's point total goes down a bit on this team vs where they came from and vs what they produce when they leave... doesn't mean that it leads to wins though. Sorry, but cammy isn't exactly a defensive winger either.. the reality is that Kessel is a natural goal scorer. He scores on a high percentage of opportunities and he doesn't really have a number one center feeding him. I have to give him props.. while streaky, the kid can score. Now that was a freebie goal.. good pass by Eller!

Cammy isnt great defensively... but JM's system forces him to at least come back and work in his own end. Wilson gives Kessel much more freedom to float. Hence the +/- numbers of both players the last couple years. Now that was a freebie goal.. good pass by Eller! What hands on Eller... what hands.
